  • Publication number: 20230079878
Abstract: Method for lifting a wind turbine component The present invention relates to a method for lifting a wind turbine component, such as a rotor blade (2), gearbox or a rotor, with a lifting yoke (10) comprising a first structural body (20) comprising a crane hook attachment point (21), a first connection point (22) and a second connection point (23), a second structural body (30) comprising a third connection point (31) and a fourth connection point (32). First and second tensional elements (24, 25) such as slings or wires, are connected to the connection points, the length of the second tensional element being variable. An inertial measurement unit (40) determines the angle of the second structural body to the horizontal and the angle of the second tensional element is determined by an angle sensor.

  • Patent number: 10611608
Abstract: A method for automatic control of the position of a burden suspended in a main wire of a crane, where the burden is connected with at least two tag lines which respectively is connected to a number of winches. The control of the position and rotation of the burden is performed by actuators on the respective winches which perform ease off/tightening of the respective tag lines from signals of at least tone measuring unit with signal transmitter located on the burden measuring angles. A central monitoring- and control unit performs control of rotation and position of the burden by multiple transmitting of compensatory control signals to relevant actuators for tag lines and the crane main wire. Guiding and control of the position of the burden is possible even when subject external random impacts, as wind and sea. Further the method is useable in positioning the burden in correct mounting position.

  • Publication number: 20190316569
Abstract: A main shaft fixture for fixing a main shaft on a wind turbine during installation and repair work on heavy parts of the wind turbine nacelle, in the case where the fixture is formed of several sections for mounting on stable structural parts in the nacelle, including the nacelle's bottom frame. The main shaft fixture has adjustable pressure mandrels with tap shoes, which cause the fixture to be usable regardless of the turbine main shaft geometry, such that it can be mounted without fixing the rotor. The main shaft fixture also has facilities for mounting of a lightweight crane and a self-hoisting crane with a ground-based winch, respectively, as well as a rotor lock which, in combination with actuators of the main shaft fixture, enables the main shaft and the main shaft bearing to be sufficiently displaced vertically from its bearing in the nacelle to service or replace the bearing.

  • Patent number: 9115693
Abstract: A device for establishing admittance and transport of cargo to and from a wind turbine construction above ground level and having a part which can be raised and/or lowered by wires and winches located at ground level and connected with snatch blocks attached to a part so that it can be raised and/or lowered in relation to the construction. The part has a number of travelling crabs according to the numbers of winches and the travelling crabs are guided of the wires between the winches and the snatch blocks, and that the part with the travelling crabs is displaced upwards or downwards by the wires. Advantageously, the wires are used for both hoisting the part and as guide for the travelling crabs.

  • Patent number: 8998546
Abstract: A fixture for attachment of an end of a member, such as a wind turbine tower section, blade or hub for a wind turbine characteristically has an end flange. To enable clamping while being able to compensate for different hole patterns in the flanges, by the invention, the fixture provides for retaining of ends of members with flanges, regardless of flange diameter and hole patterns, and which is also quickly and easily installed. Additionally, it is possible to firmly clamp the flange end to upstanding frame parts of the fixture with fastening elements, thereby providing a stable connection between a console of the fixture and the upstanding frame parts.

  • Patent number: 8636488
Abstract: A hydraulic motor or pump (2) that generates a relatively high torque, and further allows an unprecedented high specific displacement that makes the motor suitable yaw motor for large wind turbines of horizontal axis wind turbines or wheel yaw motor on Heavy Carriers. The characteristic by the hydraulic motor or pump (2) is that if the number of barriers in the annular cavity (12) of engine or pump is n then the number of radial displaceable sliders (20) will be larger than (n+1).
