  • Publication number: 20230303366
Abstract: A crane system for moving a burden, such as a wind turbine component, between the nacelle or rotor of a wind turbine and a location at a lower end of the wind turbine at a distance from the wind turbine, wherein the crane system includes a crane, said crane being adapted to be mounted near or in the nacelle of the wind turbine, wherein said crane includes a boom and wherein the crane has at least one rotational axis, about which sections of the crane can rotate. The disclosure further relates to a method for moving a burden, such as a wind turbine component, between the nacelle or rotor of a wind turbine and a location at a lower end of the wind turbine at a distance from the wind turbine.

  • Patent number: 10703610
Abstract: A lifting tool used during lifting and mounting of a rotor blade on a rotor hub of the wind turbine which facilitates repositioning of the crane's main wire. Thus, a lifting bracket, having an elongated element with a first through-going outlet configured to take up a part of a first link, which is connected with the main wire, and a second through-going outlet configured with a spherical bearing to take up a part of a second link on the load, and wherein the elongated element adjacent to the spherical bearing is provided with a measuring instrument with a signal transmitter for registering the angle between the lifting wire and the vertical direction, wherein the signal transmitter is configured to transmit a signal containing measurements for visualization on an external unit with a screen placed at the crane operator and/or near the crane supervisor.

  • Patent number: 9845791
Abstract: A method for establishing access for mounting and dismounting of main shafts, gearbox, generator and other main parts located in the nacelle of a wind turbine, where the cabriolet remains localized on the nacelle, and guide transfer mechanisms are provided for mounting inside the nacelle. The basic idea is that the cabriolet is lifted upon rolls or roll sets which form the guide transfer mechanisms upward facing support surfaces, and that the cabriolet is stabilized by displaceable counter holds which are displaced and locked in position above the downwards positioned mounting flange, upon which the cabriolet can be displaced on the rollers or roll sets to a partly cantilevered position over the rear end of the nacelle. By the method, service on larger wind turbines can be performed without using mobile cranes, which saves resources.

  • Patent number: 9415978
Abstract: A crane includes a double wire guide and anchoring bracket arranged in the nacelle of a wind turbine for hoisting-up and -down of heavy parts of the wind turbine arranged in the nacelle. The crane includes an external winch with wires, located near the base of the tower of the wind turbine, the winch being connected via the wire guide to a pulley block including a crane hook at the end of the crane outrigger arm. The particular by the wire guide is, that it by two set of pivotally mounted wire wheels, mounted respectively on a fixed bracket part of the crane, and the pivotal mounted part of the crane, controls the wires of the crane within an pivot interval between +/?175 degrees from a 0-reference point, so that the wires never touch each other.
