Patent number: 12028136Abstract: Method for a base station communicating with a plurality of User Entities, UE, according to a Time Division Duplex, TDD, access scheme via antennas, the base station being adapted for receiving Scheduling Requests, SRs, from the UEs, a SR indicating a request for scheduling an uplink transmission from a UE. The base station is communicating over a plurality of antennas associated with respective wide beams and narrow beams, a plurality of wide beams covering respective areas, whereby for each wide beam at least one narrow beam form a joint area with a wide beam. The TDD scheme involving at least a Physical Uplink Scheduling Control Channel, PUSCH, and including periodically appearing SR occasions, the base station being adapted for receiving and decoding a transmission from a UE and establishing whether a SR from at least one UE is received in a periodic occasion.Type: GrantFiled: January 20, 2021Date of Patent: July 2, 2024Assignee: Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (Publ)Inventors: Jan Lindskog, Per Löfving, Pär Ankel, Bin Jiang

Patent number: 8971254Abstract: A network node is disclosed that communicates with a user equipment node in a communications system. The network node repetitively transmits first uplink transmission power control, TPC, commands on a first physical channel with a first channel configuration while repetitively transmitting second uplink TPC commands on a second physical channel with a second channel configuration. The first and second uplink TPC commands control uplink transmission power from the user equipment node to the network node. Related user equipment nodes and methods are disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: July 26, 2013Date of Patent: March 3, 2015Assignee: Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson (publ)Inventors: Göran Kronquist, Anders Aström, Per Löfving

Patent number: 6336032Abstract: The phase of a transmitted signal is regulated in a device which is part of a system for electromagnetic signal transmission. The transmitted signal has periods when it contains information and periods when it does not contain information. The modulation position of a phase shifter which has a linear and a non-linear range is controlled. Power of the signal is amplified. Unwanted phase shifts in the signal transmitted by the device caused within the power amplifier are detected, and the information content of the signal is detected. The phase shifter is reset to a particular predetermined modulation position in the event of detection of the absence of information in the signal. The predetermined modulation position to which the phase shifter is reset is preferably situated within the linear range of the phase shifter.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 1998Date of Patent: January 1, 2002Assignee: Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (publ)Inventors: Johan Bergman, Per Löfving, Jan Robert Hedström, Thorsten Kraus
