  • Publication number: 20220390038
Abstract: Method for connecting a termination hub (201a) to a porch hub (101a) at a subsea location by using a subsea fluid connection system (1). The connection system (1) comprises a porch part (100) with the porch hub (101a), a termination part (200) with the termination hub, and a connector (300). The method comprises a) landing the termination part (200) on the porch part (100) at a subsea location; b) moving the termination hub (201a) of the termination part (200) into alignment with the porch hub (101a) of the porch part (100); c) with the connector (300), connecting the termination hub (201a) to the porch hub (101a). The method further comprises d) after step c), actuating a moment arrestor arrangement (400), thereby further arresting the termination part (200) to the porch part (100). A subsea fluid connection system is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11085276
Abstract: A subsea horizontal tie-in system comprising a porch part (100) with a porch hub (101a), a termination part (200) with a termination hub (201a). The termination part is configured to land on the porch part. The tie-in system further has an alignment system to align the porch hub (101a) and the termination hub (201a) during movement of the termination hub towards the porch hub in a landed state. The alignment system comprises guide arrangements (A1, A2, B1, B2) having porch guide faces (113p, 113q, 113r) on the porch part and termination guide faces (213p, 213q, 213r) on the termination part. The porch guide faces and termination guide faces are configured to slide against each other during said movement. The porch part (100) comprises a base plate (103) on which the porch guide faces are arranged.

  • Patent number: 10060555
Abstract: A load transferring subsea structure (10) for temporary guiding and permanently relieve forces within a pipe connection that is subjected to bending moments when connection is completed. A connector (3) keeps the pipe ends (E1, E2) together. The load transferring structure (10) includes one basically stationary structure (1) that retains a first pipe end (E1) and one basically manoeuvrable structure (2) that retains the second pipe end (E2). The second pipe end (E2) is to be connected to the first, stationary pipe end (E1). The stationary structure (1) includes portions (6) having predetermined configuration including fitted surfaces (6a, 6b) for interaction during mating with complementary portions (11, 12) having predetermined configuration including fitted surfaces (14, 15) on the mobile structure (2) for creation of a load path external of the pipe ends (E1, E2).

  • Patent number: 8511328
Abstract: The invention is directed toward a T-pipe designed for transfer of high pressure fluids through the main run and where the branch run is left in a standby position for possible use in the future. The opening, or outlet, of the branch run is sealed by a material continuous with the main run. An opening and fluid flow in the branch run while the main run is in production and remains under full pressure, is to be provided. The sealing includes a metal membrane which is in contact with the fluid flowing in the main run. The metal membrane is thinner than the wall thickness of the T-pipe and is supported by a plug inserted in the branch run.

  • Publication number: 20120263541
Abstract: A subsea structure for supporting pipes/pipe assemblies (2?) that are connected to subsea installations. The structure has a generally horizontal support member (5) for supporting said pipes/pipe assemblies. The horizontal support member is movably engaged with a generally vertical supporting member (2) at one or both ends thereof the vertical support member is anchored to a base member (3). In the vertical support member (2) a lifting mechanism with intermeshing ratchet dogs (32, 33) and elongate ratchets (12) is arranged, which is operated by a vertical screw (13).

  • Publication number: 20110187096
Abstract: The invention relates to a T-pipe (1) designed for transfer of high pressure fluids through the main run (Ia) and where the branch run (Ib) is left in a standby position for possible use in the future. The opening, or outlet, of the branch run (Ib) is sealed by a material continuous with the main run (Ia). An opening and fluid flow in the branch run (Ib) while the main run (Ia) is in production and remains under full pressure, is to be provided. The sealing includes a metal membrane (2) which is in contact with the fluid flowing in the main run (Ia).
