  • Publication number: 20160354779
Abstract: A micro fluidic system includes a substrate, and, provided on said substrate, at least one flow path interconnecting with functional means in which liquid samples can be treated by desired procedures. The flow paths are laid out to form a pattern for the transport of liquid samples to and from said functional means. These flow paths comprise a plurality of micro posts protruding upwards from said substrate, the spacing between the micro posts being small enough to induce a capillary action in a liquid sample applied anywhere within any of said flow paths, so as to force said liquid to move from where said liquid sample was applied.

  • Publication number: 20060285996
Abstract: An absorbing zone for establishing and/or maintaining fluid transport through or along said at least one fluid passage is manufactured on the basis of a non-porous substrate, having projections substantially perpendicular to said surface, and said projections having a height, diameter and a distance or distances between the projections such, that lateral capillary flow of said fluid in said zone is achieved.

  • Publication number: 20060239859
Abstract: A device for handling liquid samples, comprising a flow path with at least one zone for receiving the sample, and a transport or incubation zone, said zones connected by or comprising an area having projections substantially vertical to its surface, said device provided with a sink with a capacity of receiving said liquid sample, said sink comprising an area having projections substantially vertical to its surface, and said sink being adapted to respond to an external influence regulating its capacity to receive said liquid sample.

  • Publication number: 20050151051
Abstract: The invention relates to a matrix suitable for use in the replication of a plastic element having a positive microstructure, comprising a first wear-resistant layer that is supported by a carrier element, wherein the matrix comprises a heating means for supplying electrical heat energy through the wear-resistant layer or carrier element. The invention further relates to a plastic element producing machine and a method for the manufacture of a plastic element having a surface with a positive microstructure.

  • Patent number: 5844414
Abstract: A system and a method for moving a measuring device (4, 30) to a plurality of positions above a test object (12), e.g. an electrically or electronically equipped printed board, at which the EMC, of the test object (12) is measured and later stored in a memory together with the position of the measuring device. The system includes a computer (18) and a measuring device (4, 30). The positioning device (8) moves the measuring device (3, 30) across the test object (12) from one position to another, wherein the number of positions and their coordinates are preselected and stored in a computer (18) for a later repetition of the measurement. Each position is assigned with a measurement value which is stored in the memory of the computer (18) together with the coordinates of the measuring device (4, 30). At each position, the power to the control devices is shut-off, in order to minimize interference with the measurements.
