  • Publication number: 20070246892
Abstract: The invention relates to a support ring for stabilizing an axle packing. The axle packing is presumed to include an axle-circumscribing element whose outer delimitation surface is essentially ring shaped. The support ring has an inner delimitation surface, which forms an opening for receiving the axle-circumscribing element. The support ring is adapted to be stationary mounted in an axle housing in such a manner that the inner delimitation surface of the support ring adjoins the ring shaped outer delimitation surface of the axle-circumscribing element with a gap thereto. The inner delimitation surface is configured such that an inner diameter of the support ring along this surface varies between a maximal opening dimension and a minimal opening dimension.

  • Publication number: 20060221765
Abstract: In a magnetically-coupled liquid mixer of the type having a drive mount secured to and extending into a mixing vessel, an external first magnet array adjacent to the drive mount, a stub shaft extending from the drive mount into the vessel and having a first thrust bearing surface, and a driven portion rotatably-mounted on the stub shaft and having a second thrust bearing surface and a second magnet array, the improvement wherein the first and second arrays are positioned with respect to one another such that the first and second thrust bearing surfaces are spaced apart at least in the absence of above-threshold fluid dynamic thrust forces on the driven portion.

  • Publication number: 20050121857
Abstract: The invention refers to a device for sealing a passage (1) through a stationary wall (2) between a first space (3), which is arranged to contain a liquid. A rotatable shaft (5) is intended to extend in the passage through the wall in such a way that a gap is formed, which extends around the shaft between the shaft and the wall. A chamber (8), containing liquid, is arranged between the gap and the first space and extends around the axis. A rotatable disc (14) is fixedly arranged on the shaft and exends outwardly from the shaft into said chamber. Means (17?, 17?) are arranged to force the liquid in the chamber to rotate at a rotary speed substantially exceeding the rotary speed of the shaft.

  • Publication number: 20040116533
Abstract: The present invention concerns the field of urology. The invention provides a novel pharmaceutical composition, comprising a pharmaceutically effective combination of (i) a first compound selected from the group consisting of muscarinic receptor antagonists, 5&agr;-reductase inhibitors, and &agr;-adrenergic receptor antagonists, and precursors and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, and (ii) a second compound selected from the group consisting of 5-HT1a receptor agonists and antagonists, and precursors and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, and optionally a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or diluent therefor.

  • Publication number: 20030162777
Abstract: Described are compositions comprising a muscarinic receptor antagonist and an N-acylated heterocycle derivative having affinity for serotonergic receptors, and enantiomers, diastereoisomers, N-oxides, polymorphs, solvates and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. The combination of a muscarinic receptor antagonist and an N-acylated heterocycle, or an enantiomer, diastereoisomer, N-oxide, polymorph, solvate or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, is useful in the treatment of patients with neuromuscular dysfunction of the lower urinary tract and diseases related to 5-HT1A receptors.

  • Patent number: 5388433
Abstract: A device, the purpose of which is to prevent theft from stores by rendering the stolen object unusable for the thief. There is a radio loop transmitting a directed and coded signal which in turn is received by a receiver in the device. The receiver decodes the signal and transforms it to a start impulse for the release mechanism in the device. Hereby a glass or plastic ampule in the device is destroyed and its content, a fluid, spreads under pressure through holes in the device and renders the theft-protected item unusable.

  • Patent number: 5202024
Abstract: Centrifugal separator includes a rotor, which is arranged in a gas containing chamber and which on its outside surface is provided with a number of cavities located at a distance from each other and open to the chamber. In order to disturb the generation of sound waves in the cavities at the resonant frequency of the cavities, an irregularity, preferably in the shape of a projection, is arranged nearby and in front of at least one cavity in the rotational direction of the rotor.
