  • Publication number: 20070157654
Abstract: A cassette for use in freezing a liquid contained in a plurality of liquid receptacles comprises a bottom plate for supporting a number of the liquid receptacles in a layer, a number of intermediate plates having essentially the same dimensions as the bottom plate for placing on a layer of the liquid receptacles and supporting a further layer of liquid receptacles, and two opposite side walls being rigidly connected to the bottom plate for constituting a U-form therewith, so that each intermediate plate when placed on a layer of the liquid receptacles will be fixed laterally in relation to the side walls.

  • Patent number: 6015453
Abstract: A refrigeration system comprises a compressor, a condenser, a receiver and an evaporator, each having an inlet and an outlet, and a separator having an inlet and a first and second outlet, connected to each other conventionally. The separator is positioned laterally of the evaporator and closer thereto than to the compressor. A controller ensures overfeed of the evaporator by regulating the feed rate of liquid refrigerant from the receiver such that the separator is feeding the evaporator with liquid refrigerant in proportion to demand and safeguarding the desired overfeed. The separator comprises a cylindrical container having two outlets and an inlet for separating the vapor and liquid components of a refrigerant. The inlet is directed tangentially into the cylindrical container.

  • Patent number: 5927100
Abstract: A freezer for a liquid in a receptacle (14) comprises a housing (1), containing a cooling battery (5) for cooling a gas, a means (7) for generating a flow of the cooled gas and a jet device. The latter comprises a plurality of shells (6), each completely surrounding a receptacle (14) inserted into the respective shells with the exception of a first opening (15) for inserting the receptacle and a second opening (16) for discharging a flow of gas resulting from jets directed towards the outside of the receptacle. Each shell (6) has holes (18) in all its side walls in areas directly opposite a receptacle inserted into the shell for directing jets towards the outside of the receptacle. In addition, the freezer has indicators (11) for indicating which shells (6) do not contain a receptacle (14) and for indicating when the liquid in a receptacle inserted into a shell is frozen.

  • Patent number: 5408921
Abstract: An apparatus for gas treatment of products, especially food products, comprises a housing having an inlet opening and an outlet opening. A conveyor belt transports the products through the housing along a path from the inlet opening to the outlet opening. A tunnel encloses the conveyor belt at least along a part of the path from the inlet opening to the outlet opening, and has a perforated top wall. Gas suction means communicates with the tunnel for creating a vacuum in the interior of the tunnel. Gas conditioning means conditions the gas circulated by the gas suction means from the interior of the tunnel to the exterior thereof and back to the interior of the tunnel through the perforated top wall thereof. In this manner, gas sucked through the perforated top wall of the tunnel from the exterior thereof forms gas jets impinging upon the conveyor belt.

  • Patent number: 4921602
Abstract: A filter for separating particles from a flow of liquid comprises a filter drum (1) rotatably mounted about a substantially horizontal shaft and partially immersed into the filter liquid. The filter drum comprises a filter cloth (2) forming the circumference of the drum and having a plurality of radially extending sections between two drum end plates (3,4), one (3) of which is provided with a central opening through which the unfiltered liquid enters the interior of the drum. A drive means (9) rotates slowly. A belt conveyor (18) extends over the surface (23) of the liquid flow for removing the particles carried along by the filter cloth out of the liquid and falling down from the filter cloth in an area around the highest point of the drum. The filter cloth side edges formed as beads are clamped in grooves on the inside of the end plates (3,4), and the end plates (3,4) are fixed to each other by means of spacer members (D) spaced from the filter cloth.
