  • Patent number: 12264971
Abstract: A thermometer includes one or more temperature sensors mounted on a housing. The one or more temperature sensors determine a temperature of at least one measurement site without contact. The non-contact thermometer displays an indicator to assist alignment of the one or more temperature sensors with the at least one measurement site, receives at least one measurement reading from the at least one measurement site, determines a temperature based on the at least one measurement reading, and displays the temperature on a display unit.

  • Patent number: 12008425
Abstract: A method of a fingerprint sensing system arranged in a smartcard configured to acquire fingerprint data of a user with a fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication, and a fingerprint sensing system performing the method. The method comprises detecting a finger of the user contacting a sensing area of the fingerprint sensor, initializing the fingerprint sensor with a predetermined sensor setting, acquiring a calibration sub-image which is confined in size to a subarea of the sensing area, determining whether or not a quality criterion is met for the acquired calibration sub-image, and if so acquiring one or more further sub-images confined in size to a subarea of the sensing area during a time period when the smartcard is not engaged in waiting time extension request signalling with a card reader, and combining a plurality of the acquired further sub-images into a representation of a fingerprint of the user.

  • Publication number: 20210119516
Abstract: A stator (1) is provided, comprising a lamination stack (10) having a plurality of segments (20) being connected to each other by means of respective folding joints (30), wherein at least one folding joint (30) is arranged radially inwards of a virtual circumference (27) corresponding to the maximum radius (R2) of the lamination stack (10). The stator (1) further comprises a plurality of insulators (40), wherein at least one insulator (40) comprises an end part (48, 49) extending axially out from the lamination stack (10), and wherein a radial space is provided between the outer circumference of the end part (48, 49) and the outer periphery of the laminator stack (10).
