  • Patent number: 5125613
Abstract: Display easel having an elongated connector to which are attached three legs which can be moved from parallel storage positions to angular erection positions to form a tripod. The connector has a longitudinal passage in which slides a support rod, the movement of the legs from their storage positions to their erected positions causing the legs to lock the rod at a selected position in the passage. The legs have telescoping extensions and at least one leg has an auxiliary element that is held on the leg by a blind rivet whose head lies in a protuberance in the leg, so that its head does not interfere with sliding of the extension in the leg for adjustment.

  • Patent number: 4735393
Abstract: In an easel, a clamp for suspending sheets or other objects is formed with an elongated plate and a pair of brackets that support a bar. The brackets are particularly formed so that they incline downwardly towards the plate upon which they are mounted and the bar is arranged to be slidingly affixed to the brackets. The bar slides up and down and may grip objects placed between it and the plate. Ideally, the bar is provided with cushion means which provide the actual gripping action against the plate.

  • Patent number: 4502654
Abstract: A collapsible tripod stand for an easel is disclosed which has three legs of channel cross section with one end of each of the legs having outwardly extending wing portions which are loosely fastened to each other by fastening means, the wing portions being bent at an angle so that when the legs assume a pyramidal form, the wing portions will assume face-to-face contact. Compression spring means between the ends of the fasteners and the face of the wings urge the legs to assume pyramidal form.
