Abstract: The protective tube comprises a plurality of warp-knitted threads that define a strip the longitudinal edges of which are in contact with or overlap each other, defining a substantially circular cross-section, wherein at least one of said threads is monofilament thread, characterised in that at least one of the threads is carried on two or more needles, forming a mesh at least every two passes and a maximum of every twenty-five passes. It gives the protective tube greater curvature than that of currently known tubes, closing completely without need for heating for the strip to acquire its tubular shape.

Abstract: Method for the manufacture of tubular protective sleeves, comprising the steps of providing a warp knitted tissue of filaments of three components using a Raschel type loom; and shaping the tissue so that the longitudinal edges of the tissue converge towards one another and overlap, thus defining a tubular shape, the first component comprising monofilaments and/or multifilaments of a first polymer, the third component comprising an electrical conductive material, said components being distributed throughout the thickness of the tissue such that the first is present throughout the thickness, the second throughout the thickness in respect to a median plane of the tissue, the third component extends from one side of the tissue to the interior of the tissue without reaching the opposite side, the minimum weight percentages being 7% for the first, 10% for the second, 40% for the third.

It allows the protection tube to be joined, totally or partially, to the element to be protected without requiring the use of any additional element.

Abstract: The invention relates to a protective tube comprising a plurality of threads which are braided, knit-braided or knitted to one another. The invention is characterised in that the length of the cross-section of the threads along a first axis is substantially greater than the length of said cross-section along a second axis which is perpendicular to the first.

Abstract: Textile elements made of fibres which contain from 40% to 99.9% silicon dioxide and are coated with a silicone-containing emulsion are disclosed. The emulsion includes an anionically stabilized hydroxylated polydiorganosiloxane contains two hydroxyl groups which are linked with silicone by molecule and colloidal silica. The textile elements demonstrate considerable wear resistance. Methods of preparing the same are also disclosed.
