  • Patent number: 10568678
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided for neutral drive feedback loop compensation of detected electrosurgical unit signals. An apparatus includes an electrosurgery unit (ESU) signal detection circuit, a compensation switch, and an ESU filter switch. Both switches activate based on an output of the ESU signal detection circuit. A neutral drive feedback loop circuit is configured to compensate for a phase change characteristic of an ESU filter circuit.

  • Publication number: 20170219509
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for simultaneously determining impedances of a plurality of electrophysiological electrodes. Signals are injected into a first electrophysiological electrode and a second electrophysiological electrode, the injected signals differing in at least one of magnitude and phase. A magnitude and phase of an output of a differential amplifier are evaluated, where the differential amplifier is responsive to outputs of the first electrophysiological electrode and the second electrophysiological electrode. An impedance of the first electrophysiological electrode and an impedance of the second electrophysiological electrode are determined based on the magnitude and the phase of the differential amplifier output.

  • Patent number: 8705754
Abstract: Displacement of a moving diaphragm in an electroacoustic transducer is measured by modulating an electrical signal based on changes in capacitance between the voice coil assembly and the magnetic structure resulting from relative motion between the voice coil and the magnetic structure. The modulated electrical signal is demodulated to produce an output signal having a value proportional to the displacement.

  • Patent number: 8611553
Abstract: Apparatus and method of an ANR circuit detecting instances of instability in at least the provision of feedback-based ANR, monitoring audio that includes feedback anti-noise sounds for acoustic output by an acoustic driver for a sound having characteristics indicative of instability including at least a frequency within a range of frequencies and an amplitude reaching at least a predetermined minimum amplitude, and perhaps also a sinusoidal waveform.

  • Patent number: 8315405
Abstract: Apparatus and method of an ANR circuit providing both feedforward-based and feedback-based ANR, possibly of a personal ANR device, compressing both feedforward and feedback reference sounds detected by feedforward and feedback microphones, respectively, in response to the acoustic energy of the feedforward reference noise sound reaching a predetermined level.

  • Patent number: 7916888
Abstract: An earphone includes a first acoustic chamber including a reactive element and a resistive element in parallel, a second acoustic chamber separated from the first acoustic chamber by an acoustic transducer, and a housing to support the apparatus from the concha of a wearer's ear and to extend the second acoustic chamber into the ear canal of the wearer's ear. A cushion includes a first material and a second material and is formed into a first region and a second region. The first region defines an exterior surface shaped to fit the concha of a human ear. The second region defines an exterior surface shaped to fit the ear canal of a human ear. The first and second regions together define an interior surface shaped to accommodate an earphone. The first material occupies a volume adjacent to the interior surface. The second material occupies a volume between the first material and the first and second outer surfaces. The first and second materials are of different hardnesses.
