    Abstract: A method for production of a cooling plate (50, 80) with integrated coolant ducts (52, 84) for iron and steel making furnaces, in particular blast furnaces, is described. A preform of the cooling plate (50, 80) is continuously cast by a continuous casting mould (10), wherein rod-shaped inserts (28) in the casting duct (20) of the continuous casting mould (10) produce in this preform ducts (52, 84) running in the continuous casting direction, which form coolant ducts in the finished cooling plate.
