Abstract: A system for providing body metric measurements is provided, the system comprising: a light source providing a red light and an infrared light; an optical detector configured to receive reflected optical signals; force sensor, wherein the force sensor is integrated into a wearable device; and one or more processor configured to automatically transform signals indicative of the reflected optical signals and the force into body metric measurements.

Abstract: One or more embodiments of techniques or systems for impact detection are provided herein. In one or more embodiments, one or more sensors or sensor components may be embedded in an impact strip, helmet, article of clothing, apparel, accessories, etc. A sensor component may measure or take readings such as proper acceleration. These readings may be used to calculate velocities, force of a blow, speed of impact, etc. and notifications may be provided to appropriate parties when a force is determined to place a player or athlete at risk of injury. A database may be built from readings or measurements to determine different thresholds for different players (e.g., based on age, height, weight, etc.). In this manner, impact detection is provided.

Abstract: Drawstrings or cords of clothing or non-clothing items such as carrying apparatuses are prevented from receding and being lost in the item by providing a flexible string covering apparatus through which strings or cords are passed. A central body region of a string covering apparatus is adorned with a team logo, company emblem, or the like, and aperture regions are arranged on opposite ends of the central body region in which to thread the string or cord. The thermoplastic composition material and the shape of apertures within the aperture regions prevent the string covering apparatus from sliding, allowing the user or maker of the string covering apparatus to display a desired image unobstructed by the string or cord.

Abstract: An interchangeable accessory comprised of a plaque or decorative element and a housing with a cavity. Emblems, logos, indicia, or other types of decoration are displayed on the decorative element, and the decorative element is releasably mounted within the cavity of the housing. The housing can be attached to a wrist-worn band, sweat shirt strings, a key chain or the like, or it can be directly mounted on items of wearing apparel, such as shoes.
