Abstract: The present invention relates to a rigid hanger member (30) for hanging a basket (31) for growing and/or displaying a plant or plants. The rigid hanger member includes a hook member (35), and a plurality of rigid chain members (33). One end of each of the rigid chain members (33) connects to the hook member (35) and the other end of the rigid chain members (33) is attached to the basket (31) or comprises a hook (33a) or clip element for attaching to a basket (31). In one form, each rigid chain member (33) is a rigid support rod and a chain (33b). The present invention provides for a rigid hanging means which assists with the hanging of planting baskets.

Abstract: A method for forming three dimensional shaped products from particulate sphagnum moss material including: (a) carrying the particulate moss material to a press forming stage on a conveyor including a belt formed of a flexible and resiliently deformable material arranged moved in steps, the press forming stage including a cavity die member positioned beneath the belt of the conveyor and including a shaped die cavity and a co-operating die member positioned above the belt of the conveyor; (b) pressing the section of the belt of the conveyor between the die members and the particulate material thereon into the cavity die member to form a shaped product; and (c) causing the conveyor to step onto deliver fresh particulate material between the die members after each operation of the press forming stage.

Abstract: A plant container liner or blank therefore includes a first layer of dry or at least substantially dried plant material and a water resistant layer. The water resistant layer may be disposed between the first layer and a second layer of plant material. An appropriate shape of the blank has a base section and an arcuate section associated with the base section. The arcuate section is adapted to fold about the base section to form a continuous wall in a three-dimensional form of the liner. In one embodiment, the blank may include a base section, one or more wall sections, and connectors in the form of extension tabs, flaps or lips. The connectors facilitate attachment of the base section and the wall section(s) together wherein, in the three-dimensional form of the liner, the extension tabs, flaps or lips overlap with each other or other portions of the blank.

Abstract: A liner (11, 20, 27, 30) for a plant container is formed by firstly compressing sphagnum moss into a thin but reconstitutable sheet. The sheet may be then assembled into a three dimensional liner for insertion into the plant container and secured in that configuration. The formed three dimensional liner has one or more walls (2, 13, 21, 36, 38) extending in an upstanding configuration to generally conform to the shape of the plant container. The wall(s) are self-supporting in the upstanding configuration. In a preferred embodiment, an outer surface of at least a portion of the liner (11, 20, 27, 30) may be partially reconstituted.
