Patent number: 10546102Abstract: A mechanism is provided in a data processing system for generating healthcare work item recommendations based on predictive analytics. An analytics engine executing on the data processing system performs analytics to discover patterns in patient records data and to generate one or more risk scores using one or more predictive models. Each of the one or more risk scores represents a probability of a respective healthcare consideration. Each of the one or more risk scores has an associated set of contributing factors. A decision system executing on the data processing system generates a healthcare recommendation for a given patient having a given risk score based on the given risk score, a predictive model used to generate the given risk score, and a given set of contributing factors associated with the given risk score.Type: GrantFiled: January 18, 2016Date of Patent: January 28, 2020Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Kasun L. Attanapola, Katherine D. ChengLi, Perry R. Giffen, Sukhwinder Lall, Mihaela Rotaru, Leila Sadat Rezai

Patent number: 10297143Abstract: Provided are techniques for detecting quality of physiologic data using contact pressure data for alarm generation. First data is received that comprises physiologic data and an alarm condition. Second data is received from pressure-sensitive sensors, wherein the second data comprises contact pressure data. In response to determining that the second data indicates movement of an entity, a delay is created for generation of an alarm for the alarm condition. In response to determining that the delay has expired, it is determined whether the first data has changed to indicate that the alarm condition is resolved. In response to determining that the first data has changed to indicate that the alarm condition is resolved, the alarm condition is cleared. In response to determining that the first data has not changed to indicate that the alarm condition is resolved, the alarm is generated.Type: GrantFiled: March 21, 2018Date of Patent: May 21, 2019Assignee: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATIONInventors: Perry R. Giffen, James R. Green, Shermeen Nizami

Patent number: 9104808Abstract: SMAPs are generated for use in debugging visual paradigms. A system can debug a non-Java source, or a visual paradigm, embedded inside another distinct paradigm. The system may include a visual object ordering system that determines an order number for each of a plurality of visual objects in the visual paradigm, and a mapping system that maps the order number of each visual object to a set of line numbers in the associated code output.Type: GrantFiled: October 15, 2014Date of Patent: August 11, 2015Assignee: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATIONInventors: Jane C. Fung, Perry R. Giffen, Paul J. Gooderham, Malik S. Hemani, Karice L. McIntyre, William G. O'Farrell, Shu X. Tan

Patent number: 8073887Abstract: In an embodiment of the invention, a method for REST service importation in a distributed application development data processing system can be provided. The method can include the specifying a sample uniform resource locator (URL) in a graphical user interface to a REST service importation editor and invoking the REST service at the sample URL in order to receive a response object from the REST service. The method further can include parsing both the sample URL and the response object to identify different request fields and field types of a request object for the REST service and also response fields and field types of the response object. Finally, the method can include displaying a description of the request fields and field types of the request object and also a description of the response fields and field types of the response object in the graphical user interface to the REST service importation editor.Type: GrantFiled: October 9, 2008Date of Patent: December 6, 2011Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Jennifer E. Publication number: 20100058233Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, system and computer program product for discovering new features in an application graphical user interface (GUI). In an embodiment of the invention, a method for discovering new features in an application GUI can be provided. The method can include determining a correspondence between a GUI element in a GUI for a computing application and a new feature for the computing application, annotating the GUI element with a new feature indicia, and removing the new feature indicia once the GUI element has been accessed.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 27, 2008Publication date: March 4, 2010Applicant: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATIONInventors: Allen V.
