  • Publication number: 20130026982
Abstract: A battery charging device, method and system are disclosed for wirelessly charging a battery. A transmitter can transmit an RF wireless power signal to a battery charging device, and a receiver within the battery charging device can receive the RF wireless power signal. The battery charging device can thereafter transfer the received RF wireless power signal to a battery receiving portion to charge the battery. In an embodiment, the RF wireless power signal is transferred at a frequency of about 13.56 MHz to overcome wave shadowing. A battery recharging feedback control circuit can optionally be applied in combination with the battery charging device and can monitor a power quantity of the RF wireless power signal.

  • Publication number: 20060267413
Abstract: A method and a system for determining an AC input voltage in an output side of an isolated switching power supply are disclosed. The invention detects a peak-to-peak voltage in the output side of the power supply at a point in a circuit topology of the output side where the peak-to-peak voltage correlates to the AC input voltage. The AC input voltage is determined from the detected peak-to-peak voltage.

  • Patent number: 6128743
Abstract: A bus hub for connection via a serial bus to a serial bus host hub includes a connector to a power supply, a bus controller and a switch coupled to the bus controller and to the power supply. The switch switches the bus hub between being powered by the power supply and being powered by the power from the serial bus host hub by switching the mode of operation between self-powered mode and bus-powered mode. A system for controlling communication and power in a serial bus includes a serial bus hub for detachably coupling at least one peripheral to a computer system, and a serial bus host hub capable of delivering power to the serial bus hub. The system also includes a power supply coupled to the serial bus hub that delivers power to the serial bus hub. The system also includes a bus controller that receives signals from the computer system through the serial bus, and receiving signals from the serial bus hub.
