  • Patent number: 6679509
Abstract: A trailing arm suspension (10) with a height control valve (70) in combination with an anti-creep device (12) having an automatic reset mechanism (90) that pressurizes the air spring of the trailing arm suspension until the rotatable arm (60) of the anti-creep device (12) is free to rotate from an extended position to a retracted position, even if the ride height is set too low. The automatic reset mechanism (90) adjusts the trailer height to prevent the binding of the trailing arm suspension and the anti-creep device when the height control valve (70) is improperly adjusted.

  • Patent number: 4734674
Abstract: A tire pressure warning system, including a valve stem-mounted tire pressure detector, including means for sensing the tire pressure and means for transmitting an encoded signal when the tire pressure drops below a predetermined level, and a receiver that can receive and recognize the encoded signal, differentiate between various encoded signals, and provide a warning signal to the vehicle operator. The inside of the tire pressure detector is hermetically sealed; inside the sealed portion is a unique on/off switch that can be externally actuated without compromising the seal.

  • Patent number: 4640012
Abstract: A manual razor having a pair of water passages in the shaving head for cleaning of the blade area. The passages extend into opposite ends of the shaving head and are separated by a partition. Water is applied to the passages by placing them under a faucet. Outlet slots direct the water from the passages to the blade area and into the gap between the blades of a two edge razor to remove accumulated shaving lather and whiskers. Curved baffles are spaced along each passage to distribute the water along the outlet slots for thorough cleaning of the blades.

  • Patent number: 4593169
Abstract: A water heater in which water is heated by microwave energy. A tank which holds water is separated by a horizontal partition into a relatively small upper chamber and a larger lower chamber. Incoming cold water enters the upper chamber and is heated by a magnetron which produces microwave energy. A transfer conduit accommodates the flow of hot water from the upper chamber to the lower chamber when water is discharged from the lower chamber through an outlet pipe. When the water in the lower chamber cools, a pump returns it to the upper chamber for reheating. The pump and magnetron are controlled by thermostats which maintain the water in the upper and lower chambers at different temperature levels.

  • Patent number: 4580024
Abstract: In a deep fat frying appliance, microwave energy is applied by separate magnetrons to a pair of ceramic vessels located side by side. The foods are held in baskets which are connected with lids for the vessels by slotted brackets which lower the baskets into the vessels when the lids are closed and lift the baskets out of the oil for drainage when the lids are opened. Each magnetron is maintained in a deenergized state unless the corresponding lid is fully closed to depress a plunger switch.

  • Patent number: 4572529
Abstract: A roller skate construction including two pairs of spherical rollers generally supporting a skate frame proximal the toe and ball of the skater's foot, and a conventional pair of skate wheels supporting the heel region of the skate frame. The intermediate pair of spherical rollers are of slightly larger diameter than the forwardmost pair thereof to permit the skater to rock forwardly on the skates and disengage the wheels from the skating surface when desired.

  • Patent number: 4490923
Abstract: A clothes dryer comprising a stationary container with means for the passage of air therethrough, and a source of electromagnetic energy for generating microwaves through the clothing to dry the latter. A microwave stirrer in the magnetron wave guide randomly directs the microwaves for uniform distribution through the clothing and the frusto-conical shape of the clothing container cooperates to reflect the microwaves to enhance the drying operation.

  • Patent number: 4446679
Abstract: A multipurpose, wheeled implement having a frame mounted platform configured to secure a lawnmower in proper disposition for utilizing the power from the lawnmower engine for driving rotary working tools carried by the implement frame. A projection of the implement frame is configured to receive thereover in telescoped relationship a socket shaped mounting structure for the rotary tool to facilitate quick interchangeability of the tools. One form of the tool disclosed is a rotary tiller and another embodiment is a snow blower.
