  • Publication number: 20240005112
Abstract: A method, system and apparatus are provided for estimating at least one characteristic of a wireless communication channel between at least two passive backscattering radio frequency (RF) nodes, the method including measuring backscatter channel state information (BCSI) during communication between the at least two passive RF nodes; estimating, by at least one RF node of the at least two passive RF nodes, the at least one characteristic of the wireless communication channel based on the measured BCSI.

  • Patent number: 10368755
Abstract: Provided are a device and method for receiving a fetal heart rate (FHR) signal at each interval during a monitoring period, receiving a uterine pressure (UP) signal at each of the intervals to obtain a plurality of FHR-UP signal pairs, and extracting a feature value for each FHR-UP signal pair, with the feature value being extracted from a predefined alphabet of feature values.

  • Publication number: 20070285245
Abstract: A radio frequency identification (RFID) system and method for tracking and locating an RFID tag is disclosed. The system includes a reader, an identification tag, at least one sensor-tag and a data processing element. The reader is used to initiate a query for an object with an RFID tag. The identification tag is attached to the object. The RFID tag responds to the query. At least one sensor-tag is positioned near the RFID tag. The at least one sensor-tag functions to receive the response of the RFID tag. The sensor-tag determines whether the identification tag is within a predetermined sensor-tag range. Based upon this determination, the at least one sensor-tag communicates a response signal to the reader when the at least one sensor-tag receives a predetermined request signal from the reader. Based on the responses of the sensor-tags, the location of the object with the responding RFID tag can be calculated.
