Abstract: A device for cyclically rearranging a pile of rectangular or square sheets (such as photographic prints) by repeatedly performing the operation of removing one sheet from one end of the pile and returning the removed sheet to the other end of the pile. To facilitate removal of each sheet from the pile, the sheet to be removed is pressed against a frictional surface by a roller on the separator structure which moves relative to the sheet to be removed in order to separate that sheet from the remainder of the pile. The frictional surface moves with the sheet to be removed, and the roller helps ensure that the sheet to be removed stays in contact with the frictional surface and is moved thereby.

Abstract: A holder for a stack of a variable number of pictures is disclosed. The holder includes a clamping device whereby a stack of pictures in the holder is held against a window. Pictures can be added or removed at an open end of the window frame or through the back of the frame. Alignment devices are provided, preferably on at least two sides of the frame, to align the uppermost picture in the stack with the window.

For each disc there is provided a holder which may be pivoted out of the housing, the front wall of which holder in the pivoted-out position hinges down to such an extent that the disc can be gripped pincer-fashion and, unhampered by the front wall, can be pulled out or inserted. In the preferred embodiment, the holder is biased by a spring into its pivoted-out position and there is also preferably provided a front wall assembly that is biased by a spring into the hinged-down position.

The transporter may be selectively coupled to only one disc holder. The transporter is preferably a slider member which is arranged to slide in the housing, can be locked in the housing against a spring bias and unlocked manually, and has a front wall to cover the open front of the housing when the slider member is inserted. The selector mechanism and the unlocking operation can be actuated from the outside of this front wall.

A housing assembly has a plurality of holders for at least one recording medium, by which the recording media can be transported out of the housing assembly into a convenient position for removal. Each holder has a front wall for covering the storage chambers of the housing assembly. To be able to insert and remove the recording medium even in the dark without requiring prolonged attention, the housing assembly has an electrical connection to the motor vehicle's electrical system in order to supply a light source arrangement. The picture viewer comprises a housing member, a slider member, a bias means for urging the stack of pictures against the viewing window, and an exchange means for sequentially changing the picture that is presented at the viewing window. The exchange means comprises: (a) a retentive element to hold one picture in the housing member when the slider member is moved out of the housing member and (b) a separator bar which pushes the remainder of the stack out of the housing when the slider member is moved out of the housing. To permit relatively smooth operation of the picture viewer, the bias means is mounted on the slider.

The device comprises a housing and a slider member having a base portion and front wall that covers the open front face of the housing when the slider member is inserted.
