  • Patent number: 6154997
Abstract: A magazine pouch has a backing plate with an upper portion and a lower portion. The upper portion has a channel oriented longitudinally along said backing plate. A retainer is slidingly disposed in the channel and fixable in several preselected positions. The lower portion has a magazine box in which a magazine may be disposed. The magazine box includes a front wall and an opening facing the channel. The front wall includes a tab adjacent the opening. The tab is resilient, and, in the manner of a spring, keeps a magazine secured under the retainer, yet enables the magazine to be quickly removed from the pouch.

  • Patent number: 5341586
Abstract: A stock extender for a handgun, such as, for example, a Colt 0.45 Officer's Model, comprises a collar which may be fit around and securely tightened to an ammunition magazine for a corresponding larger model of the same handgun, such as, for example, a Colt 0.45 Standard Model. The stock extender provides the handgun with a grip having the same length as that of the larger model handgun, and enables the handgun to be more comfortably and reliably handled and discharged by persons having large hands. The stock extender may be shaped to correspond to and match the circumferential shape of the stock of the gun with which it is used.

  • Patent number: 5199224
Abstract: An apparatus for sharpening a dart includes a sharpening stone and a dart holder. The apparatus simultaneously translates the dart to be sharpened across the stone while rotating it against the stone in a direction opposed to the translation. An accurate, precision point, superior to any provided by hand sharpening, is imparted to on the dart because it is held, in the apparatus, at a constant angle with respect to the sharpening stone as it is being simultaneously rotated and translated thereacross.

  • Patent number: 5165334
Abstract: An improvement for an apparatus for recycling oil filters enables crushed oil filters to be removed from the compartment, in which they are crushed to remove used oil therefrom and to render them safely disposable, by a mechanical means. The improvement involves the use of a U-shaped member disposed through an opening at the base of the crushing compartment. Mechanical means pull the arms of the U-shaped member from the crushing compartment, thereby enabling the base of the U-shaped member to sweep crushed oil filters out through the opening. The crushing compartment has a door which need only be opened to introduce oil filters to be crushed.

  • Patent number: 4968033
Abstract: An adjustable finger grip hole for a bowling ball is disclosed. The finger grip hole, designed for installation within the opening drilled into the ball, is a nested set of three cup-like receptacles. The middle receptacle of the set moves axially in the space between the others to adjust the size of the opening formed by the innermost receptacle. In an alternate embodiment, inner cups of varying size are substituted within an outer cup to effect the finger grip hole adjustment. The interiors of the inner cups can also be pitched at a predetermined angle with respect to the axis of the inner cup, and the rims of both inner and outer cups may be provided with notched markings to facilitate the reproducible angular positioning of the inner cup.

  • Patent number: 4893542
Abstract: This disclosure shows a device designed to facilitate the lubrication of the external surface of a shell casing prior to its being forcibly incserted into a constricting die, in order to be reconditioned for eventual reuse. The device, or shell lubricator, includes a rotatable rigid, cylindrical roller which faces an arcuate, rigid plate. Both of these are faced with a resilient, absorbent material, such as felt, which can hold a lubricating material, to a thickness such that a gap is left between them for the insertion of a shell casing. The shell casings are inserted one-by-one into the shell lubricator, whose rotating cylindrical roller drives them through the gap where they acquire the necessary coating of lubricating material.
