  • Patent number: 10199725
Abstract: Systems and related methods for reducing passive intermodulation (PIM) include a combination of an antenna control unit (ACU) and a remote electrical tilt (RET) system. The ACU may be used to generate rotational motion of an output drive shaft in response to an input tilt control signal. The RET system couples to the output drive shaft of the ACU and may be used to convert the rotational motion into translational motion for modifying a phase shift of an antenna beam. PIM may be substantially eliminated by providing electrical isolation between the ACU and RET system in the form of a non-conductive connector that engages the draft shaft of the ACU.

  • Patent number: 9742050
Abstract: Difficulties in grounding a non-integral, deep drawn resonator (DDR) to the filter body of a cavity may be substantially eliminated by preventing the movement of the DDR away from a grounding contact area on the filter body. The addition of a compression plate and stop limiter in the connection of the non-integral DR to the filter body helps insure that any such movement is eliminated or substantially reduced.

  • Patent number: 8215847
Abstract: Communications connectors communicatively and physically join a plurality of network elements. Communications connectors are substantially flangeless so as to provide a substantially continuous surface between the connector and network elements joined thereto. Communications connectors may include or be modified with a grounding surface or a seating member. Communications connectors include a variety of communicative contact surfaces and joining mechanisms, including those compatible with known 7/16 DIN connections. Methods include installing network elements to connection interfaces on connectors without the use of a flange or other exterior part. Methods optionally include applying an adhesive to connection interfaces to provide a breakable, locked connection between network elements and connectors.

  • Patent number: 8217737
Abstract: Various exemplary embodiments relate to an improved coupler for resonant cavities and dielectric resonators. The coupler may permit accurate tuning of electromagnetic signals within desired frequency ranges. The coupler may be secured to a movable tuning device by a plurality of securing members. Each securing member may be separate, having no contact with any other securing member.
