  • Patent number: 10953249
Abstract: The present invention relates to a blocking device (4) for a damper drive, wherein the blocking device (4) can be transferred by activation from an inoperative state into an alternative activated state. The blocking device (4) comprises a movably mounted blocking element (41) which, in a blocking position, blocks an output member (13) in a safety position. The blocking device (4) further comprises a drive element (42) which, when the blocking device (4) is activated, moves the blocking element (41) into the blocking position. The blocking device further comprises an activating element (43) which, when a blocking temperature has been exceeded, activates the blocking device (4) by an irreversible change in shape. Also disclosed are a damper drive with a blocking device, a fire protection device and a method for operating a fire protection device.

  • Patent number: 9648996
Abstract: Floating, Insulated, Waterless Toilet System with Fece-Urine Separation, Slippery Coating, Urine Bag, Dehumidifying Structure, Fecal Disinfection-Deodorization by Microbes, and Urine Disinfection-Deodorization by Hydrogen Peroxide includes a system of components. The Toilet Pedestal is made of a water-proof, structural foam that both floats in water and thermally insulates the Fece Bag. The feces and urine are kept separate by a ridge between the urine bowl and the fece chute. The Toilet Lid forms a temporary seal with the Toilet Platform when the lid is closed. The Toilet Lid is thermally insulated so that it stays warm and dry inside the toilet. The Toilet has a thermally conductive structure that condenses humidity inside the Toilet. The urine and condensation are collected in a Urine Bag. The surfaces of the Toilet are covered by a slippery coating to prevent feces attachment. The feces are disinfected and/or deodorized by special microbes.

  • Publication number: 20130298324
Abstract: A waterless toilet system with fece and urine separation, odor and vermin seal, thermal and biological disinfection, and gas ozonation includes a system of components. The feces and urine are kept separate by a ridge separating the urine bowl from the fece chute. The seat forms a temporary seal with the platform, and the lid forms a temporary seal with the seat when closed. The rest of the components are sealed to keep vermin outside and odors inside, with the exception of a gas vent hose with a screened opening. Biological disinfection is achieved with phage focused on human pathogens. Thermal disinfection of human pathogens is achieved by insulating the fece receptacle and containing metabolic heat. The air in the toilet is ozonated by electrical discharges from a hand operated device.

  • Patent number: 6106038
Abstract: A collision damage reduction system to reduce contact velocities between a vehicle and a collidant by use of air bags on the exterior of the vehicle. The vehicle operator or an automatic collision imminence detection system e.g. radar, sonar, or an accelerometer and controller actuates a switch that actuates the air bag inflators when a collision is perceived imminent. The switch or controller can also interrupt vehicle motive power and actuate the brakes. The air bag has vents and shapes to steer it and its collidants. The controller can also actuate vehicle horns and lights to warn collidants when imminent collisions are detected.
