  • Publication number: 20240137355
Abstract: A system and method for providing secure access to an organization's internal resources by an application running on an external network. An agent accepts queries from the application which are passed to a relay with a dynamic filter. The relay establishes a secure connection with a connector through the organization's firewall and passes requests from the application to an authentication service running on the internal network to confirm that a user of the application is authorized and issue an authentication ticket which is returned to the application. The application then sends a request to access a specific internal resource based on the authentication ticket, which is passed to a ticket granting service running on the internal network, to verify that said user is authorized to access the specific internal resource, and, if so, issue a service ticket to grant access the application for that resource.

  • Publication number: 20240010311
Abstract: A method for extracting a rescue subject from a surface position includes lowering a rescue pod having an enclosed compartment with a door from an aircraft, the rescue pod having a parachute and a control system, the rescue pod connected by a tether to a winch in the aircraft, controllably releasing the tether from the winch while maneuvering the aircraft into an orbit at altitude, diameter and airspeed, creating a gravity well in which the tether describes a spiral configuration with the pod descending along a vertical centerline, lowering the pod to the surface position, loading the rescue subject into the enclosed compartment, and lifting the rescue pod from the surface position by retrieving the tether with the winch or altering the path and speed of the aircraft, in a manner to gradually increase tension in the tether lifting the rescue pod from the ground point.

  • Patent number: 10960976
Abstract: A method for extracting a person or package from a ground point involves dropping a pod, connected to a tether, with parachute and radio from an aircraft, connected by tether line to the fixed-wing aircraft, tracking descent of the pod to an extraction point, maneuvering the fixed wing aircraft into a circular orbit creating a gravity well, donning the parachute with harness by a subject to be extracted, and altering path and speed of the fixed-wing aircraft to gradually increase tension in the tether to lift the subject in the harness from the ground point, and to accelerate the subject to an altitude and path to carry the subject in the harness to a predetermined altitude over a second ground point.

  • Patent number: 8705805
Abstract: A portable token and systems and methods for identification and authentication of the same are disclosed. The portable token may be utilized for a variety of purposes and uses a thin section of rock as a unique identifying element, which is extremely resistant to forgery or duplication. Identification and authorization of tokens is achieved by a system that uses optical examination of the microstructure and the refractive properties of crystalline minerals within the identifying element, by transmitted polarized light techniques. Comparison between stored reference data and acquired examination data is the basis for verifying authenticity. The naturally-occurring three-dimensional orientations of the optical axes of mineral crystals contribute to the identification information by their effects.
