  • Publication number: 20240086624
Abstract: A digital display of an active window is provided. An application, separate from the application providing the digital display, is capable of identifying an artifact in the active window of the digital display without a priori knowledge or an application programming interface to the application providing the digital display. The artifacts may be alpha-numeric artifacts or non-alpha-numeric artifacts. The active window may be examined in multiple dimensions including 2 dimensions, 3 dimensions or more. Alpha-numeric artifacts, once identified, are pre-processed to remove anti-aliasing to allow for processor optical recognition.

  • Publication number: 20220262461
Abstract: A system for managing a CNV reference panel is disclosed, wherein the system includes a database arrangement configured to store a plurality of sample genomic DNA sequences and metadata associated with each of plurality of sample genomic DNA sequences. The system further includes a computing arrangement communicatively coupled to the database arrangement. The computing arrangement is configured to render a user interface to receive a target genomic DNA sequence along with interpretation request for calling CNVs in target genomic DNA sequence. The computing arrangement compares the plurality of characteristic attributes in the interpretation request with the metadata associated with each of plurality of sample genomic DNA sequences. Furthermore, the computing arrangement identifies a set of sample genomic DNA sequences as a reference panel, based on the comparison. Moreover, the computing arrangement utilise the reference panel for calling CNVs in the target genomic DNA sequence.

  • Patent number: 9318296
Abstract: A cathode of a magnetron having a radial extension to accommodate the cathode terminals is supported by arms which have a greater diameter over the region in which they are supported in the glass thimble than over the region of the free ends. This shifts any vibrations to a higher frequency band, which is less liable to be excited in the event the magnetron is moved rapidly as in a linac used for radiotherapy purposes.

  • Publication number: 20120201097
Abstract: A Transmit/Receive Array combination with high resolving power wherein the Signal Dependent Noise contributors to Image Quality, as determined by the Peak Sidelobe Ratio (PSLR) and the Integrated Sidelobe Ratio (ISLR) are controlled largely independently of the Main Lobe Width. The receiving array is comprised of a number of discrete elements, nominally at half wavelength spacing. The Receive Array is weighted to aid in the control of PSLR and ISLR. The Transmit Array is comprised of a sparse array of discrete elements (more than two). The Transmit Array is longer than the receive array. The transmit array may be weighted to aid in the control of PSLR and ISLR.

  • Publication number: 20110246189
Abstract: An audio quality feedback system and method is provided. The system receives audio from a client via a communication device such as a microphone, The audio quality feedback system compares the received audio to one or more parameters regarding the quality of the feedback. The parameters include, for example, clipping, periods of silence, signal to noise ratios. Based on the comparison, feedback is generated to allow adjustment of the communication device or use of the communication device to improve the quality of the audio.

  • Patent number: 7685928
Abstract: A powered steering mechanism can operate in a steering mode or in a powered self-centering mode. The mechanism of the present invention includes a cylinder into and out of which can reciprocate a rod. The rod is provided with a fixed piston that defines a first pressure chamber and a second pressure chamber. First and second inlet/outlet steering ports are provided in the pressure chambers through which a pressurizing fluid can flow into or out. The cylinder is also adapted to provide powered self-centering of the fixed piston and thereby the steering mechanism itself by the floating pistons that are located within the pressure chambers. First and second inlet/outlet centering ports are also provided in pressure chambers, through which fluid can flow into the chambers, causing floating pistons to move towards a central position and enabling the fixed piston to be moved and retained.
