  • Publication number: 20070157167
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program products are provided for adapting service entities using a declarative approach in a service framework. In accordance with one implementation, a method is provided for adapting service entities. The method includes the steps of retrieving at least one software entity from a first repository in response to a first input and receiving a declaration from a user for adapting the software entity. • Publication number: 20070029156
Abstract: The friction clutch between the prime mover and the change-speed transmission in the power train of a motor vehicle is actuatable by a slave cylinder cooperating with a master cylinder wherein the piston is movable by a clutch pedal or by an electric actuator. The casing of the slave cylinder is made, at least in part, of a plastic material and defines a plenum chamber arranged to receive pressurized fluid from the master cylinder by way of a conduit extending through a bell which contains the clutch and the slave cylinder. The annular piston of the slave cylinder surrounds the input shaft of the transmission. The plastic material of the casing of the slave cylinder can contain one or more additives which enhance its strength and/or influence its frictional engagement with the adjacent surfaces of the piston or of a lip seal which reciprocates with the piston.

  • Publication number: 20060036745
Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, implementing techniques for developing user interface applications using configurable patterns and for executing such pattern-based applications. The techniques include receiving an identification of a pattern, generating configuration data for the pattern, and storing the configuration data separately from the pattern. The pattern includes a predefined arrangement of user interface elements and specifies predefined actions that can be performed using the user interface elements. The configuration data specifies associations between one or more of the user interface elements and one or more entities in a back-end system, and further specifies customization data for the user interface elements.

  • Publication number: 20050278372
Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, implementing techniques for business data processing. The techniques include displaying business data on a user interface through which users can view the business data and provide input modifying the business data. The business data comprises a plurality of business objects. The techniques further include receiving one or more first user inputs, each first user input requesting creation of a note and specifying the contents of the note to be created; in response to each of the first user inputs, creating a note and binding the note to one of the business objects; receiving a second user input selecting one of the notes; and in response to the second user input, navigating from the selected note to the business object bound to the selected note.

  • Publication number: 20050257157
Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, for developing user interface applications using configurable patterns and for executing such pattern-based applications. The applications can be developed by generating a graphic representation of a pattern, which can include multiple pattern elements having prearranged user interface elements. The pattern can specify predefined actions that can be performed using the user interface elements, and the graphic representation can include graphic objects corresponding to the pattern elements. • Publication number: 20040250259
Abstract: A method and system for selectively generating runtime objects in an application development environment. According to one embodiment, an invalidation manager receives an indication that a development object has been changed, determines which runtime objects from a set of runtime objects are influenced by the changed development object, and invalidates the influenced runtime objects, and a generator receives a request for a runtime object from the set of runtime objects and regenerates the requested runtime object if the requested runtime object has been invalidated.

  • Patent number: 6810787
Abstract: A master cylinder for the clutch or brake of a motor vehicle has a housing for a reciprocable piston one end of which receives the spherical head of a reciprocable piston rod. The head is held in a desired position relative to the piston by a one-piece or composite coupling device having a first section exerting a pull or bearing upon the head of the piston rod and a second section which is confined in or surrounds the end of the piston and urges the first section in a direction to hold the piston rod against axial movements relative to the piston. The coupling device and/or the piston are or can be made of a plastic material, and the connection between such parts is or can be established by snap action.

  • Patent number: 6804237
Abstract: Data network signals, methods and devices that are suitable for multiplexing payload data in a packet switched data network are disclosed. Payload associated with multiple packets is multiplexed into a single multiplexed packet. Each payload portion is identified by a mini-header within the multiplexed packet. Mapping information may also be transferred as part of such multiplexed packets which include multiplexed payload data. Preferably, the mapping information is used to form mapping tables within routers at edges of access networks. The mapping tables may be used to establish a relationship between mini-headers and full headers. The mapping tables may be used to multiplex data from packets to form a multiplexed packet at an ingress router, and demultiplex the multiplexed packet at an egress router. Conveniently, neither gateways nor out of band signalling are required.

  • Patent number: 6621895
Abstract: An Enhanced Communication Services layer is adapted for connection intermediate a content application layer and a transport services layer of a communication network. The content application layer is adapted to generate payload data of a service instance. The transport services layer includes a physical fabric of the communication network and is adapted for end-to-end transport of the payload data across the communication network. The Enhanced Communication Services layer comprises a Contact Agent, an Exchange Agent and a Transport Agent, The Contact Agent is adapted to discover information identifying parties involved in a service instance. The Exchange Agent is responsive to the Contact Agent, and adapted to select, from a network space comprising one or more transport services, a best match set of transport services for the service instance. Finally, the Transport Agent is responsive to the Exchange Agent for engaging the selected set of transport services for the duration of the service instance.

  • Publication number: 20030152063
Abstract: A radio access network includes a transport network layer; a radio network layer having a layer 2 network for communicating between entities within the radio network layer by exchanging datagrams having a predetermined format used only within the radio network layer. Accordingly, the present invention provides for a true decoupling at layer 2 between the radio network layer and the transport network layer. Addressing at layer 2 can enable both connectionless and connection oriented using an overlay connectivity model. Layer 2 in the radio network layer is implemented as an Ethernet network.

  • Patent number: 6477175
Abstract: Method and apparatus for supplying the receivers with information in successive steps. The source supplies the first receiver with the information in a first step and supplies a second receiver in a second step whilst the first receiver simultaneously supplies the information to a third receiver. In further steps the source and already supplied receivers each supply a further receiver with the information until all receivers to be supplied have received the information. ADVANTAGE—Enables transfer of large quantities of program code and data from central station to several interconnected decentral stations, in very short time and with optimal use of transmission capacity.
