  • Publication number: 20200333466
Abstract: A system for determining a pose of a vehicle and building maps from vehicle priors processes received ground intensity LIDAR data including intensity data for points believed to be on the ground and height information to form ground intensity LIDAR (GIL) images including pixels in 2D coordinates where each pixel contains an intensity value, a height value, and x- and y-gradients of intensity and height. The GIL images are formed by filtering aggregated ground intensity LIDAR data falling into a same spatial bin on the ground and using a registration algorithm to align two GIL images relative to one another by estimating a 6-degree-of-freedom pose with associated uncertainty that minimizes error between the two GIL images. The aligned GIL images are provided as a pose estimate to a localizer. The system may provide online localization and pose estimation, prior building, and prior to prior alignment pose estimation using image-based techniques.

  • Patent number: 10796364
Abstract: Real time or near real time assessment of the quality of securities transactions is accomplished by intercepting order and execution communications between trader and broker, comparing the execution data with contemporaneous market data relative to the transaction or transactions involved, and informing the trader of that comparison. This is accomplished without interrupting or impeding the trader-broker communications, except that a broker-trader communication may, if desired, be interrupted and relevant data aggregated until the aggregate reaches a desired value. It is preferred that the comparison be between the volume-weighted average price of the securities transaction and the volume-weighted average price of the market data for that security, over the life of the order. A particular effective way to communicate the quality evaluation to the trader is disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10781790
Abstract: A bulkhead assembly for a wind turbine blade is described, wherein a pressure relief conduit is provided at the bulkhead to allow for pressure to equalise across the bulkhead. This helps to prevent faults or cracks in the bulkhead assembly due to differences in pressure on either side of the bulkhead. Furthermore, liquid traps and/or filter media can be accommodated in the conduit to prevent the passage of liquids or other matter across the bulkhead.

Abstract: Various examples are directed to systems and methods for determining a pose of a vehicle. A first localizer may generate a first pose estimate for the vehicle based at least in part on a comparison of first remote sensor data to a first reference data. A second localizer may generate a second pose estimate for the vehicle based at least in part on a comparison of second remote sensor data to a second reference data. A pose state estimator may generate a vehicle pose for the vehicle based at least in part on a first previous pose of the vehicle, the first pose estimate, and the second pose estimate.

  • Patent number: 10725520
Abstract: Examples disclosed herein relate to determination of a power capping signal based on direct memory access. In an example, a hardware timer in a processor may generate a hardware trigger. In response to the hardware trigger, an analog-to-digital convertor (ADC) engine may obtain an analog voltage signal from a server. ADC engine may convert the analog voltage signal to a digital output. ADC engine may then generate a second hardware trigger. In response to the second hardware trigger, a direct memory access engine may provide the digital output to a programmable logic device via a direct memory access (DMA) operation. The programmable logic device may determine a power capping signal based on the digital output, and provide the power capping signal to the server.

  • Publication number: 20200041665
Abstract: A scintillation block detector employs an array of optically air coupled scintillation pixels, the array being wrapped in reflector material and optically coupled to an array of silicon photomultiplier light sensors with common-cathode signal timing pickoff and individual anode signal position and energy determination. The design features afford an optimized combination of photopeak energy event sensitivity and timing, while reducing electronic circuit complexity and power requirements, and easing necessary fabrication methods. Four of these small blocks, or “miniblocks,” can be combined as optically and electrically separated quadrants of a larger single detector in order to recover detection efficiency that would otherwise be lost due to scattering between them.

  • Patent number: 10554580
Abstract: Examples disclosed herein relate to fabric cable emulation. Some examples disclosed herein include determining connection data associated with a connection between a fabric interface of a cluster node in a fabric cluster and a fabric switch. Based on the determined connection data, configuration parameters for the connection may be calculated and stored in a memory device on the cluster node. An interface signal may be asserted to the fabric interface of the cluster node after the calculated configuration parameters are stored to indicate that the cluster node is available in the fabric cluster.

  • Patent number: 10520530
Abstract: Examples disclosed herein relate to determining a power sense output based on a current sense line and a voltage sense line. A first stage circuit has a first voltage input of the current sense line of a server. The first stage circuit also has a feedback voltage input based on an output voltage of the first stage circuit and a variable resistance value based on the voltage sense line of the server. A second stage circuit is used to buffer the first output voltage to yield a second output voltage. A third stage circuit yields a power sense output based on a difference between the second output voltage and the first voltage input.

  • Publication number: 20190301873
Abstract: A georeferenced trajectory estimation system for vehicles receives trajectory data generated by a plurality of vehicle sensors and fixed reference points of previously generated maps and aligns geometry data for a geographic region and trajectory data from the received data from different map builds. The trajectory data from respective map builds is aligned with fixed reference points of previously generated maps to generate a map of the geographic region. The received map data may include submap or spatially indexed data that is used to provide estimates of where a vehicle in an unmapped area is located by generating a series of pose estimates relating back to a fixed reference point in a previously mapped area. The resulting map expands the coverage of the existing map such that old and new map data is in a common consistent reference frame whereby the map may be built incrementally while ensuring global consistency.

  • Publication number: 20190302801
Abstract: A georeferenced trajectory estimation system receives data generated by vehicle sensors from a fleet of vehicles and identifies sets of sensor measurements for a geographic region taken at different times. The sets of sensor measurements include environment geometry data and unaligned trajectory data in local coordinate frames. The georeferenced trajectory estimation system aligns the environment geometry data between sets of sensor measures, and, based on the alignment of the environment geometry data, transforms the identified corresponding trajectory data into a common coordinate frame.
