  • Publication number: 20100295217
Abstract: The invention discloses a method of heating a preform (50) of thermoplastic material prior to blow molding the same to form a container, with the preform (50) being held at a threaded region (58) during heating thereof. A neck portion (48) of the preform (50) close to the threaded region (58) is temporarily heated more strongly as compared to other regions. The invention further relates to a tempering device for heating such a preform (50), including at least one radiation and/or heat source acting on the preform (50) and defining several impact regions on the preform (50) with different heating intensities each. The preform (50) has associated therewith at least one reflector (52) disposed in the threaded (58) and/or neck region (48) for deflecting radiation proportions piercing the neck region (48) and for heating the neck region (48) on an inside of the preform (50).

  • Publication number: 20100139535
Abstract: A steam generator for producing superheated steam in a waste incineration plant, includes a boiler housing having a combustion chamber with walls having an evaporator. The evaporator has tubes carrying water and being acted upon by heat energy released during incineration of waste, for producing superheated steam. A wall superheater for increasing temperature of the superheated steam includes a plurality of tubes in a wall of the boiler housing for carrying superheated steam being protected against flue gas from an incineration process by plate-like elements formed of a corrosion-proof material. The boiler housing includes an evaporator housing section having the water-carrying tubes and a wall-superheater housing section spatially separated from the evaporator housing section and having the superheated steam-carrying tubes. The wall-superheater housing section is movable relative to and disposed downstream of the evaporator housing section in flue gas flow direction.

  • Patent number: 4800481
Abstract: A static converter circuit has a voltage summing transformer (Tr-Tr13) with several part transformers (Tr1-Tr13) the static-converter-side winding of which are connected via one four-quadrant actuator each to a direct-voltage link circuit. The four-quadrant actuators are single-phase bridge circuits with one GTO thyristor each and a diode, which is antiparallel thereto, per bridge branch. The static-converter-side windings of the part transformers can be short circuited in each case by means of an alternating-current circuit breaker with antiparallel-connected thyristors. Each part transformer has a separate core. The power-system-side windings of the power transformers are connected in series and are connected at their ends to a railroad power system with 162/3-Hz. The direct-voltage link circuit is connected via power-system-commutated static converters and a static converter transformer to a national power system with 50 Hz.

  • Patent number: 4284933
Abstract: A circuit arrangement is disclosed for reducing field voltage peaks in direct current motors which are energized by way of an electronic D.C. regulator, and which have an exciter winding connected with the armature and commutating pole windings by means of diodes. The circuit arrangement includes a choke coil connected in series with the exciter winding. In addition, a resistor is connected in parallel with the exciter winding. This arrangement prevents a rapid rise in the field current or the magnetic field flux of the motor.

  • Patent number: 3964799
Abstract: An adapter assembly for use with the pivot pin of a conventional Leach 2R-1006 type operating cylinder. The adapter assembly obviates the need for stocking three different types of replacement pivot pins. Instead of three types, only one type is necessary because it can be combined with the adapter assembly to provide functional equivalents of the other two types.Specifically, the adapter assembly is used with a conventional Leach 2R-1916 pivot pin which has an axially bored, internally threaded end. The adapter assembly includes a stepped cylindrical adapter element having a head portion and a contiguous, axially aligned, reduced diameter neck portion. The adapter element has a smooth axial bore throughout its length. The adapter assembly also includes a bolt which is inserted into the head portion end and through the axial bore of the adapter element and which is threadably engaged into the threaded end of the pivot pin.
