  • Publication number: 20050150769
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of separating at least two biocomponents contained in a liquid including having different pI values. The method comprising the steps of: i. providing a first separating path with at least one separating layer comprising one or more pH active components with pH active groups, ii. applying the liquid with the biocomponents to the separating coating, iii: applying a voltage over the separating path, iv. allowing at least some of the biocomponents to travel towards one of the electrodes to one or more collection stations, v. collecting the once separated biocomponents from at least one collection station. The invention also relates to a separating system for use in the method. The separation system comprises a set of separating paths, the separating system comprising 2 or more separating paths that differ from each other with respect to the pH value of the separating coating.

  • Publication number: 20050072321
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of making frozen products with a characteristic form from at least one flowable type of material, the frozen products including edible ice products such as ice cream sticks, ice lollipops, ice dessert or the like. The method includes placing a first quantity of the flowable type of material in a first mould or moulding part and cooling the material of the at least one first mould or moulding part in order to create a basic frozen form of the product. Further, the method includes forming the frozen form of the product into a characteristic form, this forming including modification of the product in a second mould or moulding part, the second mould or moulding part basically having the contours of the characteristic form.

  • Publication number: 20020064183
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for providing customer premises with broadband data communication services access and narrowband telecommunication services access using a cable from a public communications network are presented. A distribution network having a number of jacks at the customer premises location is provided and ADSL technology is implemented. The distribution network is used as a distribution network for both higher frequency signals used for broadband communication and lower frequency signals used for narrowband communication. At least one jack is used for connection of a splitter filter for separating higher frequency signals from lower frequency signals. A broadband access device is connected to a high frequency port of the splitter filter and a narrowband access device is connected to a low frequency port of the splitter filter. Each of said broadband and narrowband access devices includes a number of user interfaces for accessing the broadband and narrowband services.

  • Patent number: 6092585
Abstract: A method of advancing molds (5), after pouring to form castings (9) in the casting cavities (8), leaving a foundry plant comprising a mould-making station (A, 1-4) and a pouring station (B,7), the molds (5) leaving the plant in the form of closely juxtaposed mold parts (5) with the castings (9) in casting cavities (8) at the mainly vertical parting surfaces between successive molds (5), the latter constituting a mold string (F), in which each mold (5) occupies a given length (S) in the longitudinal direction of the mold string (F), the latter after having passed a precision conveyor (6, 16) being transferred to a second conveyor (10, 16, D).

  • Patent number: 6008421
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method and an apparatus for high yield production of .sup.11 C-methyl iodide by selectively monohalogenating .sup.11 C-methane, whereby the method is comprising a first step of introducing .sup.11 CH.sub.4 into an apparatus containing a circulation system comprising a number of connected circulation members (1-7), and the circulation system is further comprising a number of valves (V114 V5) and at least one pump (8) for controlling the circulation. The method further comprises a second step of recirculation of .sup.11 CH.sub.4 and introduction of iodine vapor into the circulating gas stream passed through a heated reaction chamber (3) within the apparatus having the circulation system during a predefined time period during continuous removal of formed .sup.11 CH.sub.3 I by means of a second trap (7), and a third step of releasing after the predefined time period the produced .sup.

  • Patent number: 5647424
Abstract: A method and apparatus of forming a plurality of moulds in a string system is provided by squeeze plates which compress the particulate mould material. One of the squeeze plates is pivotable so that when a pair of squeeze plates are compressed by particulate mould material, the pivotable squeeze plate may be pivoted out of the way to provide a string mould system. In another embodiment of the invention the pivotable squeeze plate is movable laterally to provide bilateral pressing of both of the squeeze plates.

  • Patent number: 5617414
Abstract: In a telecommunication system, especially a telephone system having at least one electronic computer controlled telephone exchange, in its turn having time-space type switches, including a number of memory devices in the form of matrices, a method and an apparatus for transferring, via inputs and outputs of the memory devices, speech and data information in binary form between subscribers connected to the exchange. To considerably reduce the power consumption of the memory matrix as a whole, devices are provided to activate only those memories, which, for the moment, are intended to emit a corresponding output signal after that data has been written into same, and to cut off those portions of the memory matrix, which are not used for emitting output signals, in that no information is written into those, thus, not activated memories.

  • Patent number: 5594861
Abstract: Error handling in a telecommunications exchange is performed in a process centralized fashion. Certain objects in each process are defensively programmed to detect and report errors. One error handler object is provided for each process, with the error handler object receiving the error reports, analyzing the reports and specifying error recoveries including a default behavior for recovery from errors based on a default error analysis. In situations where the default analysis and recovery does not adequately address anticipated errors, specialized error analyses and recoveries are designed for and specified by the error handler object.

  • Patent number: 5589207
Abstract: Leavened yeast dough products obtain a long durability in a frozen condition by omitting using in the preparation thereof fermentable carbohydrates, but the formation in situ of such fermentable carbohydrates satisfactory to leaven the dough is ensured by adding one or more amylases to the dough. Upon freezing the activity of the amylase ceases and the concentration of fermentable carbohydrates falls to such a low value that the proteinase forming activity of the yeast actually ceases. A possibly desired brown-coloring of the baked product may be ensured by the addition of amylases with an activity at a relatively high temperature.

  • Patent number: 4438538
Abstract: The tool incorporates a housing for opposed tape and chalkline reels. The housing has sufficient height to act as, and in conjunction with, an attached abutment, to make the tool useable as a cutting guide square. The abutment surface has the triple function of aligning the device square to the edge of a piece of lumber edge while providing mounting bosses for a scribe element, and, with the scribe element, acting as a hanger for removably attaching the device to the user's belt.
