    Abstract: A cable having a conductor for conducting electrical current, a first layer of insulation encircling the conductor for insulating the conductor, a mesh tape applied over the first layer of insulation for reinforcing the cable and substantially limiting the cable from stretching when the cable is placed in tension, and a second layer of insulation encircling and interwoven with the mesh tape. Also provided is a method for manufacturing the cable described above.
