  • Publication number: 20220213378
Abstract: A composition and method for hydraulically fracturing an oil or gas well to improve the production rates and ultimate recovery using a porous ceramic proppant infused with a chemical treatment agent is provided. The chemical treatment agent may be a tracer material that provides diagnostic information about the production performance of a hydraulic fracture stimulation by the use of distinguishable both water soluble and hydrocarbon soluble tracers. The tracer can be a biological marker, such as DNA. The porous ceramic proppant can be coated with a polymer which provides for controlled release of the chemical treatment agent into a fracture or well bore area over a period of time.

  • Publication number: 20160125674
Abstract: A computer-implemented method and a system for managing signals generated by onboard systems of a mobile equipment fleet, where each of the signals contain operating condition information associated with one of the items of the fleet. The system continuously receives the signals as transmitted by the onboard systems via a communications network. For each of the received signals, the system selects a rule from a rules database based on the equipment operating condition information in the received signal. The rule contains a cause and an action associated with an equipment operating condition. The system generates a report that includes the equipment operating condition, the cause and the action of the selected rule and transmits it to an operator device via the communications network.

  • Publication number: 20060192959
Abstract: A detection system comprising modulation means for applying a circular polarisation modulation to an incident beam of radiation, sample holding means through which the modulated beam is passed, a grating to diffract the beam of radiation, an array of solid state detectors arranged to receive different wavelengths of the beam, and processing means arranged to synchronise detected signals with the modulation applied by the modulation means, in order to measure the spectral circular dichroism of the sample.

  • Patent number: 5090479
Abstract: A method for inhibiting scale formation in oil producing wells. The method comprises pretreating the rock formation of the near well bore area with a surface agent and then a saline solution by injecting these down the well bore. Subsequently the formation is treated with a source of divalent cations such as calcium. An acid inhibitor in the form of a polyacrylic acid derivative, a phosphonated or a phosphinopolycarboxylic acid is then injected into the rock formation and allowed to soak in for a period of 24 hours. The inhibitor is retained on the surface area of the rock formation by means of divalent cationic bonds.
