  • Publication number: 20180168511
Abstract: A catheter comprises an elongate catheter body extending longitudinally from a proximal end to a distal end, an expandable electrode assembly disposed at the distal end of the catheter body, the electrode assembly comprising a housing encasing a position sensor and a plurality of flexible splines extending from the distal end of the catheter body to a distal end of the housing, and a distal cap positioned over a distal end of the housing, the distal cap being configured to receive the distal end of the housing and to further receive distal ends of flexible splines of the plurality of flexible splines in longitudinal or about longitudinal directions relative to the catheter body. Distal portions of the flexible splines provide reduced stiffness as compared to more proximal portions. The expandable electrode assembly is configured to be transitioned between a collapsed configuration suitable for delivery and an expanded configuration.

  • Patent number: 7530517
Abstract: A data storage tape cartridge has a housing, at least one tape reel assembly rotatably disposed within the housing, a storage tape wound about a tape winding surface of the tape reel assembly, and a brake assembly. The brake assembly includes a brake plate and a brake button. When the brake assembly is an unlocked position, a depression in the brake plate mates with a protruding member of the brake button to limit vibration of the brake assembly, thereby limiting noisy vibration of cartridge.

  • Publication number: 20080112125
Abstract: A portable hard disk drive includes a housing, a hard drive assembly disposed within the housing, and isolation material coupled to the hard drive assembly. The housing forms an enclosure defined by opposing first and second ends, opposing sides extending between the opposing first and second ends, and a top surface opposite a bottom surface. The hard drive assembly is disposed within the enclosure. The isolation material displaces the hard drive assembly from the opposing first and second ends by an end sway space and displaces the hard drive assembly from each of the opposing sides by a side sway space. In this regard, the end sway space is greater than the side sway space.

  • Publication number: 20050279874
Abstract: A tape reel assembly for use in a tape drive system for winding and unwinding storage tape is described. The tape reel assembly has a hub including a cylindrical core, an annular wall, and a web connecting the annular wall to the cylindrical core. The annular wall is co-axially disposed exterior to and separated from the cylindrical core and defines a tape-winding surface. The web extends between the annular wall and the cylindrical core and defines a first surface and a second surface. In this regard, at least one of the first surface and the second surface is shaped to approximate a sinusoid in radial cross-section.

  • Patent number: 6650504
Abstract: A data storage tape cartridge including a housing, a tape reel assembly, a brake body, a spring, and a storage tape. The tape reel assembly includes a hub, opposing top and bottom flange components, brake teeth, and an inner surface. The inner surface is formed by the tape reel assembly and defines an engagement section apart from the brake teeth. The brake body includes a stem, a head, a toothed section, and a centering feature. The centering feature extends radially outwardly from the head and forms a circumferential edge that is radially spaced from the toothed section. A spring is positioned about a post formed by the cover to bias the brake body to a locked state. In the locked state, the toothed section engages the brake teeth to prevent rotation of the tape reel assembly. Interaction between the circumferential edge and the engagement section limits lateral shifting of the tape reel assembly relative to the tape reel opening when the data storage tape cartridge is vertically oriented.

  • Patent number: 6505789
Abstract: A data storage cartridge (10) includes a housing (12) having a first section (13) and a second section (14) operatively connected to each other. A first positioning member (40) and second positioning member (50) are operatively connected to the housing and are in axial alignment with each other. A leader pin (30) is positioned in the positioning members 40, 50 and held in position by the two-sided springs 44. The springs 44 are in position around a locating member 41, 51.

  • Publication number: 20020166913
Abstract: A data storage tape cartridge including a housing, a tape reel assembly, a brake assembly, a centering device, and a storage tape. The tape reel assembly includes a hub, opposing top and bottom flanges, and drive teeth. The drive teeth extend in an axial fashion relative to the hub and are provided for engagement by a tape drive chuck. The centering device is provided to support the tape reel assembly in a centered position relative to the tape reel opening in the locked state. The centering device includes a rib and a corresponding groove. The rib is formed by one of the bottom flange and the base, whereas the groove is formed by another of the bottom flange and the base. The groove is configured to selectively receive the rib, thereby supporting the tape reel assembly in the center position. The centering device prevents the tape reel assembly from laterally shifting relative to the tape reel opening when the data storage tape cartridge is vertically oriented.

  • Patent number: 6257519
Abstract: A tape reel assembly for maintaining a data storage tape. The tape reel assembly includes a first flange, a second flange and a hub ring. The first flange includes a first plate and at least one loop member extending in a generally axial fashion from an inner face of the top plate at a radius R1. The second flange includes a second plate and at least one leg extending in a generally axial fashion from an inner face of the bottom plate. The leg is positioned to selectively engage the loop member. Finally, the hub ring is provided separately and is free of material extending across an inner diameter thereof. The hub ring further defines an outer winding surface and inner surface having a minimum radius R2. The hub ring is assembled between the first plate and the second plate. In this regard, the radius R2 is greater than the radius R1 such that the loop member and the leg extend and interact within an area defined by the inner surface of the hub ring.
