  • Publication number: 20240131595
Abstract: A processing machine (10) for building an object (11) from powder (12) includes a build platform (26A); a powder supply assembly (18) that deposits the powder (12) onto the build platform (26A) to form a powder layer (13); and an energy system (22) that directs an energy beam (22D) at a portion of the powder (12) on the build platform (26A) to form a portion of the object (11). The powder supply assembly (18) can include (i) a powder container (640A) that retains the powder (12); (ii) a supply outlet (639) positioned over the build platform (26A); and (ii) a flow control assembly (642) that selectively controls the flow of the powder (12) from the supply outlet (639).

  • Patent number: 11047414
Abstract: A joint made from a lightweight, thin metal connector plate with one or more through holes or cutouts, containing multiple sharp edges. The sharp edges, within the through hole or cutout, upset and engage the outer layers of a stick or sticks, or similarly essentially cylindrical and irregular members, when inserted into the connector plate and a force subsequently applied, by rotating or moving the stick or sticks off axis from the plate, to fasten the stick or sticks in place. The connector plate, being lightweight and compact is well suited to survival preparedness and outdoor activities.

  • Publication number: 20190345964

The sharp edges, within the through hole or cutout, upset and engage the outer layers of a stick or sticks, or similarly essentially cylindrical and irregular members, when inserted into the connector plate and a force subsequently applied, by rotating or moving the stick or sticks off axis from the plate, to fasten the stick or sticks in place. The sheet metal construction provides for a wide rage of additional connection options, by means of easily incorporated features in the connector plate, when used in conjunction with common flexible connectors and solid fasteners. Using the connector plate, tools and structures can be quickly fabricated and then disassembled, from locally harvested woods or canes. The connector plate, being lightweight, compact and made from metal, is well suited to survival preparedness and outdoor activities.

  • Publication number: 20180161000
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media relate to generate an integrated image based on one or more applicators inserted into a target of a patient. The method may include receiving ultrasound image data and planning image data of the target. The ultrasound image data including a pre-operative and post-operative image data and the planning image data may include post-operative image data (e.g., CT and/or MRI image data). The method may include processing the ultrasound image data and the planning image data to determine a location of each channel and/or needle. The method may include generating an integrated image including the ultrasound image data and the planning image data based on the location of each channel and/or needle of the applicator. The methods, systems, and computer readable media according to embodiments can improve target (e.g., prostate) delineation, enable accurate dose planning and delivery, and potentially enhance HDR treatment outcome.

  • Patent number: 7917861
Abstract: Systems and methods of displaying a user interface in a portable electronic device are provided. In one embodiment, a method includes creating a first clone and a second clone of a user interface element. The method also includes displaying the first clone of the user interface element on a display of the portable electronic device, modifying the second clone of the user interface element, and transitioning between the first clone of the user interface element and the second clone of the user interface element. In another embodiment, a method includes displaying an initial user interface element and displaying a transition between the initial user interface element and a final user interface element, wherein the transition is selected based on a classification of the initial user interface element and a classification of the final user interface element.

  • Publication number: 20090063980
Abstract: The individual parts of a media presentation are associated with one another, and in addition to maintaining pointers in individual parts which indicate the last point at which playback was stopped, a pointer is maintained for the “container” created by the association. This pointer indicates the last part in the “container” that was played. When the presentation is played back, the user can select a particular part or can select “resume.” If “resume” is selected, the pointer is retrieved and used to select the part to be played. Within the part, a further pointer may indicate where in the part to begin playback, based on where playback was last stopped.
