  • Publication number: 20080279850
Abstract: The present invention generally provides methods for B-cell reduction in an individual using CD37-specific binding molecules. In particular, the invention provides methods for B-cell reduction using CD37-specific binding molecules alone, or a combination of CD37-specific binding molecules and CD20-specific binding molecules, in some instances a synergistic combination. The invention further provides materials and methods for treatment of diseases involving aberrant B-cell activity. In addition, the invention provides humanized CD37-specific binding molecules.

  • Publication number: 20080240949
Abstract: A sealing system for a pump having a plunger includes a housing having an internal chamber adapted to receive a portion of the plunger. Primary and secondary seals are located within the internal chamber and adapted to sealingly engage the plunger. The primary seal communicates with the fluid being pumped. A barrier fluid chamber contains a barrier fluid in contact with the primary seal and the secondary seal. A pressure referencing device has an inlet port in communication with the pumped fluid and an outlet port providing fluid at a pressure magnitude equal to a peak pressure of the pumped fluid. A pressurizing device is in communication with the fluid at the peak pressure and the barrier fluid to maintain the barrier fluid pressure at a magnitude greater than the peak pressure of the pumped fluid such that the pumped fluid is restricted from leaking past the primary seal.

  • Publication number: 20080025381
Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention includes a technique to calibrate receiver and transmitter in a communication system. N digitized samples I(n) and Q(n) are stored. The N digitized samples represent in-phase and quadrature (I-Q) components, respectively, of a down-converted signal from a receiver. The I-Q components are generated from a quadrature demodulator or modulator having I-Q imbalance. Phase and gain adjustment constants are computed from the N digitized samples to compensate for the I-Q imbalance using a closed form solution. Another embodiment of the present invention includes a technique to calibrate a transceiver in a communication system without using a calibrated reference receiver. A first test signal at a first frequency is injected to a transmitter having a quadrature modulator with I-Q imbalance. The quadrature modulator has a carrier frequency. The transmitter generates a transmitter signal.

  • Publication number: 20070094905
Abstract: The display panel has an outer surface to which a sign may be attached and an inner surface having a fastener composed of resiliently deformable material. An end of the fastener is separated from the display panel by a slit which is adapted to receive an outer plate of a conventional door handle The outer plate is held in the slit by the resiliently deformable composition of the fastener. The plate may however be removed from the slit by the application of a force opposed to the bias of the resilient material in order to widen the slit.

  • Patent number: 7159328
Abstract: Apparatus 10 discloses a handle 32 for manipulating the device and an extending rule portion 18 having a series of markings or measurements 26 embossed along its edge serving as a base of spacing measurement for a pivotally mounted swing arm 22 and a slide arm 24 perpendicularly attached thereto that may be adjusted to a desired distance. After a desired distance is set the swing arm 22 serves to maintain spacing and parallelism by having a bubble level 36 fabricated into each of its ends to test if the materials held flush are level. After correct measurements are made the apparatus 10 may then be used as a gauging tool for the quick and ready spacing and setting of materials afterwards.

  • Patent number: 6844895
Abstract: A system which marries a tethered, digital bus with image broadcasting to allow multiple, low-cost cameras to communicate with a host. This is done by using an external receiver on a tethered bus, and by putting much of the processing circuitry in the receiver, rather than the camera. The broadcasting can be either a NTSC/PAL type of analog broadcasting or a digital broadcasting technique. The camera can be made with low cost, readily available NTSC/PAL, other analog video components, or with readily available digital telephone components. The external receiver unit of the present invention does all the necessary data processing and compression to fit the available bandwidth of the bus to which it is communicating, and provides for a low cost and extensible method of inputting digital image data into a personal computer (PC) or other host.
