Patent number: 10422317Abstract: A wind generator system with a plurality of lightweight, surface area adjustable airfoil/sail blades. Each blade is triangular or wedge shape with a narrow inner edge and a wide outer edge. Each blade includes an inner frame connected to a rigid mast that extends radially from a hub assembly. Each blade includes a curved outer skin layer that extends over the inner frame and configured into air foil shape with a large curved leading edge and a thin trailing edge. The outer skin layer is secured along its leading edge and removeably attached along its trailing edge to the inner frame. Advertising is printed on the outer skin of at least one blade that is visible. Coupled to the outer skin layer is a first linear actuator that when activated, causes the outer skin layer to fold or unfold thereby changing the blade's surface area. The internal frame may include a second linear actuator and a telescopic mast over which the blade slides to increase or decrease the sweep area of the blades.Type: GrantFiled: September 20, 2016Date of Patent: September 24, 2019Inventor: Peter Agtuca

Publication number: 20120086203Abstract: An apparatus for generating electricity from a relatively low velocity exhaust produced by a blower on a piece of machinery. The apparatus includes a fan assembly and a generator located inside an outer housing mounted on a base. Attached to the base and extending into the outer housing is a conical tunnel with a bypass gate that selectively closes the tunnel and thereby control the flow of exhaust gas through the apparatus. The fan assembly includes a plurality of fixed vanes that extend transversely into the path of the exhaust. The ends of the vanes are attached to two side plates that rotate freely around the frame's center axis. Attached to the inside side plate is a low RPM generator that includes two rotating magnetic plates and a fixed stator disc with a plurality of coil members is formed.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 24, 2011Publication date: April 12, 2012Inventor: Peter Agtuca

Patent number: 7969035Abstract: An apparatus for generating electricity from a relatively low velocity exhaust produced by a piece of machinery. The apparatus includes a fan assembly located inside a frame mounted adjacent to the exhaust vent found on the piece of machinery. The fan assembly includes a plurality of fixed vanes that extend transversely into the exhaust gas. The ends of the vanes are attached to two side plates that rotate freely around the frame's center axis. Attached to the inside side plate is an outer housing with two magnetic plates mounted therein. The two magnetic plates are spaced apart thereby forming a gap in which a stator disc with a plurality of coil members is formed. The stator disc is fixed to an axle that is longitudinally aligned with the center axis of the outer housing and the fan assembly. During operation, the exhaust gas causes the fan assembly and the outer housing to rotate.Type: GrantFiled: August 11, 2008Date of Patent: June 28, 2011Inventor: Peter Agtuca

Patent number: 6681901Abstract: An aircraft tire chock comprising a triangular-shaped elongated body designed to fit against the surface of a tire on an aircraft. The body includes three longitudinally aligned support members. Disposed between the three support members is a plurality of triangular-shaped gussets, equally spaced apart and vertically aligned inside the body to support the support members. Aligned longitudinally between the support members are three, elongated replaceable bumpers that extend the full length of the elongated body between adjacent support members. Located over each end of the elongated body is an optional end cap. Formed inside each end cap and the end gussets is a centrally aligned bore. Disposed centrally through the bores in the end caps and the gussets is a short, longitudinally aligned pipe. Disposed inside the pipe is a short section of wire rope that is used as a pull handle to move or transport the chock.Type: GrantFiled: July 12, 2001Date of Patent: January 27, 2004Inventor: Peter Agtuca

Patent number: 6467586Abstract: An improved tire chocking system comprising a pair of triangular-shaped tire chocks connected by a semi-rigid cable securely attached to each tire chock. In the preferred embodiment, the cable includes a wire rope surrounded by a protective outer hose. The ends of the wire rope are securely attached to the chocks via stop plugs wedged or forced into longitudinally aligned bores formed in each chock. A crimp nut is attached to the distal ends of the wire rope to prevent disengagement from the stop plugs. The wire rope and hose form a semi-rigid cable that extends upward when the two tire chocks are aligned vertically on their ends to delineate a desired parking area. The three surfaces of each chock are marked with a high visibility stripe to improve visibility.Type: GrantFiled: May 8, 2001Date of Patent: October 22, 2002Inventor: Peter Agtuca
