  • Publication number: 20230273608
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for optimizing material processing. In one aspect, a method includes collecting, from a set of sensors, a set of current manufacturing conditions. Based on the set of current manufacturing conditions collected from the sensors, a set of current qualities of a material currently being processed by manufacturing equipment is determined. A baseline production measure for processing the material according to the set of current qualities is obtained. A candidate set of manufacturing conditions that provide an improved production measure relative to the baseline production measure is determined. A set of candidate qualities for the material produced under the candidate set of manufacturing conditions is determined. A visualization that presents both of the set of candidate qualities of the material and the set of current qualities of the material currently being processed is generated.

  • Patent number: 11453977
Abstract: A set for mechanical processing suspended fibrous material includes a die plate having receiving openings in a predefined arrangement for insertion of blade-shaped processing elements which jut out on a process side and are flowed onto by the fibrous material. The blade-shaped processing elements have each a plurality of foot regions in longitudinally spaced-apart relation, which pass through the die plate and jut out from the die plate on a process-distal. At least some of the foot regions of the processing elements reach into associated receiving grooves of a base plate on the process-distal side. As an alternative, transverse stiffening elements are arranged substantially orthogonally in the longitudinal direction of the processing elements such that the transverse stiffening elements stabilize the foot regions of the processing elements on the process-distal side.

Abstract: A refiner includes two or more facing refining assemblies. Each refining assembly includes a backing structure and refiner plate segments engaged to the backing structure A series of alternating bars and grooves defines a refining surface on each refiner plate segment. The refiner plate segments of the first refining assembly have a terminal edge perimeter defined by two or more terminal edges of bars disposed closest to the outer arc of the substrate of the first refining assembly. The refiner plate segments of the second refining assembly have an outermost edge circumference defined by an outermost terminal edge of a bar disposed closest to the outer arc of the substrate of the second refining assembly facing the first refining assembly. • Publication number: 20190218715
Abstract: A system and process for continuously extracting and diluting a pulp sample from a pulp production line for the purpose of conducting near real time analysis of pulp fibers while mitigating the loss of production due to outdated sample data and the amount of pulp extracted for analysis but not utilized. The system comprises several inline mixers and pulp and dilution lines configured to successively dilute an initial pulp sample for analysis while collecting waste for re-concentration and re-introduction into the production pulp line.
