  • Patent number: 10512888
Abstract: Systems and methods provide automated parameter assurance features and results for consumables used in bioprocessing and particularly for purifying, filtering, harvesting and collecting bioprocessing fluids. Consumables having these features are sized, shaped, configured and constructed to interface with and be a component of such a bioprocessing system that includes a multi-use component or device with which it operatively engages such as by docking, engagement with a connector or other approach that allows for insertion and removal of the consumable. The consumable may be a component having a single-use life or a limited life. Each consumable has a median by which information, which can include use limits and specifications, is associated with that specific consumable, and those limits and specifications are communicated to the multi-use component which indicates any inappropriateness for use with the multi-use component.
