  • Patent number: 6679435
Abstract: A fuel injector for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines has an electromagnetic actuating element including a magnet coil, a tubular internal pole and an external magnetic circuit part, a valve sleeve having an internal opening and thin walls and a movable valve closing body which works together with a valve seat assigned to a valve seating body. The valve seating body and the internal pole are fixedly arranged in the internal opening in the valve sleeve . The internal pole has a longitudinal slot formed by producing it by rolling and/or bending.

  • Patent number: 6679766
Abstract: A honing tool assembly adapted to be chucked in a honing machine for reciprocation and rotation, the assembly comprising a diamond-plated tool for honing cylindrical bores in a workpiece, the diamond-plated tool having a spiral pattern on a cylindrical outer surface, a central bore in the tool adapted to receive a tapered rod engageable with a tapered surface on the central tool opening, the tool being provided with a longitudinal slot that allows the outside diameter of the tool to expand as a force is applied to the tapered rod whereby stock is removed from bore walls of the workpiece with precision roundness and concentricity.

  • Patent number: 5904299
Abstract: A housing body of a fuel injector has a multi-part design; it includes a base member and at least one calibrating sleeve. Air is supplied and metered in through the calibrating sleeve, while the base member is used for sealing and attachment purposes. A dimensionally accurate machining of calibrating sleeves can be carried out simply and cost-effectively. The structural design easily yields many different variants. The fuel injector is especially suited for fuel-injection systems of mixture-compressing internal combustion engines having externally supplied ignition.

  • Patent number: 5769391
Abstract: In a valve, the number of components of the valve pipe is reduced, so that the number of joints and connecting points is also reduced,. The entire valve pipe is manufactured from magnetically conductive material, so that one can dispense with non-magnetic adapters. The valve is especially suited for use in fuel-injection systems of mixture-compressing internal-combustion engines having externally supplied ignition.

  • Patent number: 5561270
Abstract: In a method for the production of connection carriers, a V-shaped recess (3) is formed in the connection carrier (1) by punching, then a very precise slit (18) is produced in the immediate vicinity of the recess end region (10) by stamping or caulking the carrier cheeks (13) and ( 14) of the connection carrier (1). At least two windings (26) and (27) of a wire (5) are then inserted into the slit (18), whereby the windings cannot slip onto each other because of the dimensions of the slit (18) which resulted from stamping. Finally, hot-forming of the connection carrier (1) occurs, so that the windings (26) and (27) are completely surrounded in the slit (18) and an electrically conductive connection between the connection carrier (1) and the wire (5) is produced.

  • Patent number: 4830286
Abstract: In valves having flat armatures, in order to attain the shortest possible switching times, the goal is to to reduce the mass of the armature and the surface area of the stops. A particularly advantageous design is obtained by embodying the flat armature in the manner of a gear wheel and providing at least three radially extending teeth, spaced uniformly apart from one another, on which the stop lobes that cooperate with a stop integral with the housing upon actuation of the valve by excitation of the magnetic coil are formed. A flat armature embodied in this way can be used in any correspondingly embodied valve.
