  • Patent number: 8882946
Abstract: An ultrasonic sealing jaw (1) is used for sealing portions of plastic film to a tube so as to form a sealing engagement of the portions of plastic film around the circumference of the tube. The sealing jaw (1) includes a concave film-tube welding portion (7) for receiving the tube covered by the plastic films the film-tube welding portion (7) to form the film-tube attachment. Adjacent to at least one side of the film-tube welding portion (7) of the sealing jaw (1), is a substantially flat film-film welding portion (3, 4) for engaging the plastic film and sealing adjacent portions of plastic film to each other in an area adjoining the tube. A film-film welding portion (3, 4) defining a top plane (10) of the sealing jaw (1) has at least one recess with a surface (11) so as to form a cavity (12) and forms a cavity (12) with an opening towards the film-tube welding portion (7).

  • Publication number: 20090085250
Abstract: A method for the production of a concrete article having a pattern on a surface thereof, comprising providing a mould having upstanding side walls, and a bottom surface which is patterned with a reverse image of the pattern desired on the surface of the article, introducing into the mould in contact with its patterned surface a first layer of concrete mix by either first introducing a layer of fluid binder slurry in contact with the said surface and applying on top of said slurry layer a layer of aggregate particles, or first introducing a layer of aggregate particles in contact with the said surface and applying on top of said aggregate layer a layer of fluid binder slurry, applying a second layer of concrete mix on top of the first layer, compacting the first and second layers of concrete mix in the mould to form the article in an uncured state, optionally separating the side walls of the mould from the uncured article, and demoulding the article after at least partial curing.

  • Publication number: 20090047460
Abstract: The adhesive dispensing product comprises a coherent piece of carrier sheet material with two opposite surfaces, one of which is a first release surface, the piece of carrier sheet material has two opposite lateral side edges. A plurality of individual adhesive segments are present on the first release surface, which adhesive segments each has a circumferential surface, and the circumferential surfaces of adjacent adhesive segments are separated by a distance of at least 0.5 mm. The adhesive segments feature a first adhesiveness relative to the first release surface allowing the adhesive segments to be dispensed from the first release surface. The adhesive dispensing product further comprises a plurality of individual pieces of cover sheet material, which cover sheet material has two opposite surfaces, one of which is a second release surface.

  • Publication number: 20080290544
Abstract: A method for the production of a clay or cementitious construction unit, such as a paving block or slab, having a textured face surface, comprising contacting the intended face surface of an incompletely hardened, free-standing, self-supporting clay or cementitious construction unit (2), (3), with a water-absorbent porous membrane (6), for example of paper or other non-woven fibrous material, contacting the membrane-covered surface of the unit with the contact surface of a vibratable element (9), the contact surface of the vibratable element having a non-relief surface, or carrying a reverse image of a desired relief pattern to be applied to the face surface of the unit, vibrating the vibratable element with vibration head(s) (10), (11), (12) at a frequency greater than 14 KHz while it is in contact with the membrane-covered face surface of the unit, breaking contact between the textured face surface of the incompletely hardened unit and the membrane, and hardening the construction unit.
