The internal space can be filled and emptied as needed, permitting the floor mat to be conveniently moved and stored. Unlike conventional gel mats that can be heavy and bulky, the present floor mat provides the benefits of a fluid filled mat, while allowing users to significantly reduce the bulk of the floor mat when desired by removing the fluid therefrom.
