  • Patent number: 5868431
Abstract: A reprintable label that can be printed and erased many times without becoming visually degraded. The label is particularly suited for displaying the due date on library materials and video rentals. The label consist of a normally opaque plastic sheet attached to a wax coated colored card. On the back of the colored card is a pressure sensitive adhesive for attaching the label to articles. Printing is accomplished by the application pressure to the opaque plastic sheet, so that it sticks to the underlying wax. Where the opaque sheet sticks to the wax it changes color. The label is erased by pneumatically lifting the plastic sheet away from the wax coating.

  • Patent number: 5806713
Abstract: A device for dispensing and applying stamps, labels, stickers, and other self-adhesive products mounted on a backing web. Sliding the device across a contacting surface rotates the single moving part, a drive roller. The drive roller pulls the backing web around a delaminating bend. This separates the self-adhesive product from the web and applies it to the contacting surface. Some embodiments of the invention discharged the used webbing. The other embodiments automatically collect and store the webbing within their housings.

  • Patent number: 5792012
Abstract: A hockey puck for use on unsmooth surfaces such as streets and parking lots consisting of two generally equal sized halves. Sandwiched between the two halves is an energy absorbing member or members. Springs or foam washers can serve as these members. The two halves are loosely connected together so that only one will receive the direct impact from striking a imperfection in the street or other playing surface. The energy absorbing members dampen the forces transferred between the two puck halves. This results in a puck which can travel across rough surfaces with a greatly reduced likelihood of tumbling or bouncing.

  • Patent number: 5433437
Abstract: A soccer ball kick-training device for teaching the optimum foot position for kicking soccer balls. The device attaches to the top of the soccer player's shoe and provides a visual aid for locating the best striking area on the foot. It further provides an acoustic signal when the kick is properly done.

  • Patent number: 4760909
Abstract: A suction wheel is mounted laterally adjacent a horizontal conveyor and at an elevation slightly thereabove. The suction wheel is movable laterally between that position and an inward position partially overlapping the conveyor. A plurality of peripheral ports are provided in the suction wheel which is mounted for rotation about a vertical axis at a peripheral speed correspond to the speed of the conveyor. A manifold rests upon the suction wheel, but is held stationary against rotation. The manifold has at least three ports disposed in the path of movement of the suction wheel ports. A vacuum source is operatively coupled to at least two ports in the manifold, and a pressurized fluid source is operatively coupled to at least one of the ports in the manifold. The suction wheel operates intermittently. Only when an article is to be removed from the conveyor, does the suction wheel move inwardly to remove the reject articles.

  • Patent number: 4293127
Abstract: A mono-kinetic exercise device for mounting within a doorway or other rectangular aperture. The exercise device includes brackets of various types for attachment of the device to the door frame, tensioning devices, one or more ropes extending lengthwise along the device and a gripping bar grasped by the person desiring exercise which may be moved upward or downward within the doorway such that the movement entails an effort by the exerciser and provides muscle exertion. The gripping bar is moved against frictional resistance that is developed in the interior of the gripping bar.
