    Abstract: Imidazolidine derivatives of the formula ##STR1## in which R represents in each case optionally substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl andX and Y independently of one another represent hydrogen, halogen, cyano, nitro or carboxyl, or represent in each case optionally substituted alkyl, alkoxy, alkoxycarbonyl, alkylthio, alkylsulphinyl or alkylsulphonyl,are useful as herbicides. A process for preparing the imidazolidine derivatives is also disclosed.
