Abstract: A milk extracting system and computer-implemented method of adjusting the vacuum pressures applied respectively at different teat cups for milking the teats of an animal during a milk extraction procedure, where a teat-specific milk flow value is determined for each individual teat during the milk extraction, based on measurements received from respective milk flow meters, each determined teat specific milk flow value is compared with a first threshold limit, and when a determination is made that all of the teat specific milk flow values exceed the first threshold limit the vacuum pressure at each teat cup is adjusted to a high flow vacuum pressure level.

Abstract: An exchangeable expendable part of a milking arrangement includes an identification tag with data by which a model or a manufacturing date of the exchangeable expendable part is uniquely identified. The tag is readable by a reader arranged to repeatedly read the tag and to forward the readings to a computer system, whereby the computer system identifies the model and/or a manufacturing date of the part based on the readings; and, in response to the identified model and/or manufacturing date, i) alerts an operator, ii) monitors and/or controls the milking arrangement, and/or iii) makes the model and/or the manufacturing date of the part available to an operator. Exchangeable expendable parts include teat cup liners, cartridges including teat cup liners, and milk or vacuum tubes connected to teat cups.

Abstract: A method, computer program, and arrangement for controlling milking by a milking device, wherein probability values are associated with different milking parameter settings capable of being used for the milking of a milk producing animal, a milking parameter setting is drawn from among the different milking parameter settings based on the probability values for the different milking parameter settings, a milking of the milk producing animal is controlled using the drawn milking parameter setting, a milk flow is sensed from the milk producing animal during the milking, the probability values for the different milking parameter settings are updated based on the sensed milk flow, a further milking parameter setting among the different milking parameter settings is drawn based on the updated probability values for the different milking parameter settings, and the further milking parameter setting is used to control a following milking of the milk producing animal.
