    Abstract: Example embodiments relate to luminaire heads with interconnecting interfaces. One example luminaire head including an interconnected interface for an electronic device includes a support layer and a cover layer arranged over the support layer. The support layer includes a plurality of electrical tracks arranged on a surface of the support layer and connectable to a power supply of the luminaire head. The support layer also includes a first electrical connector. The first electrical connector is connected to at least one of the plurality of electrical tracks and is suited for connecting to the electronic device. Further, the support layer includes a second electrical connector. The second electrical connector is directly connected to the first electrical connector via the at least one of the plurality of electrical tracks. An upper surface of the cover layer includes a first opening and at least one retaining means.

    Abstract: Example embodiments relate to luminaire systems with SPD. One example luminaire system includes a luminaire housing, a support with at least one light source arranged thereon, a drive means configured for driving the at least one light source, a surge protection device between a power supply and the drive means, and an indicator device. The surge protection device includes surge protection circuitry and monitoring circuitry configured to monitor a malfunctioning of the surge protection circuitry and provide an output signal based on the monitoring. The monitoring circuitry is connected such that a state of the indicator device is changed when the output signal indicates a malfunctioning. The indicator device is arranged at a location which is such that the state of the indicator device is visible from outside of the luminaire housing.

One example tiltable joint for a luminaire includes a first joint portion that includes a joint member provided with an outer cylindrical surface section having an axis and opposing bearings aligned with said axis. The tiltable joint also includes a second joint portion that includes a joint housing provided with a pair of axially-aligned receiving surfaces, and an inner cylindrical surface provided with a second plurality of interengaging surfaces configured to interengage the first plurality of interengaging surface. The joint member of the first joint portion is configured for being housed within the joint housing of the second joint portion. Further, the tiltable joint includes first and second shaft portions that extend in alignment with the pair of axially-aligned bearings. Additionally, the tiltable joint includes a fixation means.
