  • Patent number: 12640399
Abstract: A battery includes an electrolyte comprised of a solvating solvent, diluent, and a lithium salt. The electrolyte is a solution having a saturation point, the lithium salt being at least 5 times more soluble in the solvating solvent than in the diluent. The diluent and the solvating solvent are immiscible at a molar ratio of diluent/solvating solvent of 2 or more, and the solvating solvent and diluent are present in the electrolyte at a diluent/solvating solvent molar ratio of 0.1 to less than 2.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: May 26, 2026
    Assignee: Wildcat Discovery Technologies, Inc.
Inventors: Jinhua Huang, Bin Li, Peter Bennington, Tyler Stanley
  • Publication number: 20260121031
Abstract: Anodes having a laminate comprised of a lithium metal having adhered thereto a layer comprised of a thermoset polymer may be formed by contacting a lithium foil with an addition monomer to form an uncured layer and polymerizing the addition monomer forming a layer of a thermoset polymer adhered to the lithium metal foil or by contacting a metal foil other than lithium with an addition monomer to form an uncured layer, polymerizing the addition monomer forming a layer of a thermoset polymer adhered to the metal foil to form a lithium free metal anode and electrochemically introducing lithium ions to the lithium free metal anode to form the lithium metal laminate anode.

  • Publication number: 20250343263
Abstract: Electrolytes comprising a solvating solvent, lithium salt comprised of lithium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide, and an additive comprised of at least one of a bis(trifluoromethane)sulfonimide salt and a difluorophosphate salt in an amount of 0.05% to 5% by weight of the electrolyte.improve the cycling performance of lithium ion batteries and in particular lithium ion batteries having lithium metal anodes or anode-less anodes with an Li intercalating cathode (e.g., cathodes comprised of layered nickel, manganese cobalt oxides).
