  • Patent number: 11960536
Abstract: A method, device and system for organizing media content on a computer-based system to form a playlist, wherein the device has access to a database with a plurality of music tracks and associated feature vectors including feature values representing different semantic characteristics of a music track, as well as metadata including at least one type of metadata record representing associated information about the respective music track. The playlist is determined based on a query from the client device that includes an input vector, and at least one input metadata record, using an additional similarity matrix representing a measure of similarity between different metadata records of the same type.

  • Publication number: 20220238087
Abstract: A method and system for determining a compact semantic representation of a digital audio signal using a computer-based system by calculating at least one low-level feature matrix from the digital audio signal; processing the low-level feature matrix or matrices using pre-trained machine learning engines including an ensemble of modules, wherein each module in the ensemble is trained to predict a one of a plurality of high-level feature values; and concatenating the obtained plurality of high-level feature values into a descriptor vector. The calculated descriptor vectors can be used alone, or in an arbitrary or temporally ordered combination with further descriptor vectors calculated from different audio signals extracted from the same music track, as a compact semantic representation of the respective music track.

  • Publication number: 20220188350
Abstract: A method, device and system for organizing media content on a computer-based system to form a playlist, wherein the device has access to a database with a plurality of media content items and associated feature vectors including values representing different characteristics of a media content item. A GUI displayed on the device includes GUI elements, each representing a variable associated with a plurality of the vector values. A user interaction with one of the GUI elements is interpreted as a change in the variable and, in response, a queue of selectable items ordered according to their associated feature vectors with respect to the changed variable is displayed on the GUI.

  • Publication number: 20220157282
Abstract: A method of determining on a computer-based system at least one representative segment of a musical composition, the method including providing a digital audio signal representing said musical composition; dividing said digital audio signal into a plurality of frames of equal frame duration; calculating at least one audio feature value for each frame by analyzing the digital audio signal, said audio feature being a numerical representation of a musical characteristic of said digital audio signal, with a numerical value equal to or higher than zero; identifying at least one representative frame corresponding to a maximum value of said audio feature; and determining at least one representative segment of the digital audio signal with a predefined segment duration, the starting point of said at least one representative segment being a representative frame.

  • Publication number: 20220147558
Abstract: A method and system for automatically matching audio content with visual input by obtaining a video or image(s) from a digital camera, analyzing the video or image(s) to extract image label(s), mapping the image label(s) to predefined input-output relationships to determine a set of input feature values, and selecting a set of music tracks from a plurality of music tracks stored on a storage device having associated semantic feature values most closely matching the determined input feature values to create a playlist.

  • Publication number: 20220107978
Abstract: A method of recommending video content using a computer-based system, the method including providing an initial set including a plurality of videos; extracting a digital audio signal from each of the plurality of videos; determining at least one temporal sequence of low-level audio features for each digital audio signal of the plurality of videos by analyzing the digital audio signals; calculating an audio similarity index between each of the plurality of videos by comparing their respective at least one temporal sequence of low-level audio features; receiving a query Q comprising reference to a seed video; the seed video being one of the plurality of videos; determining, for the seed video, a ranking of the rest of the initial set of videos based on their audio similarity index with respect to the seed video; and returning, as a reply to the query Q, an ordered set of video references according to the ranking.
