    Abstract: Apparatus for intermingling multifilament yarns, having an intermingling assembly with a thread channel (3; 11), and at least one blowing channel (5′, 5″; 6′, 6″) opening into the thread channel (3; 11), and capable of receiving compressed air, wherein the cross-section of each blowing channel (5′, 5″; 6′, 6″) increases in the direction of the thread channel (3; 11) and the thread channel (3; 11) for each blowing channel (5′, 5″; 6′, 6″) has a first segment (3′) before the opening of the blowing channel (5′, 5″; 6′, 6″), a second segment (3″) in the area of the opening of the blowing channel (5′, 5″; 6′, 6″), and a third segment (3′″) after the opening of the blowing channel (5′, 5″; 6′, 6″), whereby the second segment (3″) of the thread channel has larger cross-sectional areas than those of the first and third segments.
