  • Patent number: 10293525
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a threaded bolt. A blank is introduced into a threaded-bolt negative mold. The blank has a bolt-shaped portion. Fibers which are aligned in the longitudinal direction of the bolt-shaped portion are embedded in a plastics material in the blank. Pressure is exerted on the blank in order to deform the blank in the negative mold such that a threaded structure is formed on a circumferential face of the bolt-shaped portion. The invention moreover relates to a threaded bolt which is manufacturable by this method, and to a system which is conceived for carrying out the method. Lightweight and hard-wearing threaded bolts may be manufactured by the method according to the invention.

  • Patent number: 10116067
Abstract: A single element electrical connector includes a single conductive contact element formed into a cage structure having a wire insert end and a wire contact end along a longitudinal centerline axis of the connector. The cage structure defines an upper pick-up surface having a surface area suitable for placement of a suction nozzle of a vacuum transfer device, as well as a pair of contact tines biased towards the centerline axis to define a contact pinch point for an exposed core of a wire inserted into the connector. A contact surface is defined by a member of the cage structure for electrical mating contact with a respective contact element on a component on which the connector is mounted.

  • Publication number: 20160043814
Abstract: A method of monitoring operational status of a plurality of base station sites in a wireless telecommunication network, a computer program product and monitoring unit operable to perform that method. The method comprises: receiving an indication of an operational characteristic of at least one power supply provided at least one of the plurality of base station sites; analysing the operational characteristic to determine to whether the base station site is operational; and providing an indication of determined operational status in respect of the plurality of base station sites in a wireless telecommunication network. Aspects recognise that monitoring operational characteristics of cell site power usage and similar power parameters may provide information to a central controller which can be of use in maintaining an operational telecommunications network in the event of a disaster or similar.
