  • Publication number: 20230240279
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device and the use of said device for reducing insect irritation of an animal, especially to farm animals such as cattle and horses. Thereby addressing the recurrent problem of insect caused irritation to the eyes and face of an animal as well as to wounds on the surface of an animal or other moist areas offering a source of nourishment to the insects. A device according to the present invention can be directly attached to the surface of an animal in a detachable manner. The device may thus be positioned directly on the animal in a position of choice to the caretaker, thereby, local limitation of the number of insects, such as flies, may be achieved, protecting the animal from insect irritation, particularly in the vicinity of said device, independently of the environment surrounding the animal.

  • Patent number: 10335862
Abstract: A tool body and a turning tool for grooving operations having the tool body include a fitting member extending along a longitudinal first axis for fixing the tool body to a machine. The tool body's upper and lower clamping members each having respective inner seating surfaces facing one another and separated by an intermediate gap in which a cutting insert is insertable. A major part of the lower inner seating surface extends along a second axis perpendicular to the first axis. The clamping members are movable toward one another by a tightening device in order to secure the cutting insert in the intermediate gap. The tool body is integrally formed in a unitary piece. A hinge joint is formed between the clamping members, such that they are movable with respect to one another by turning around an axis of rotation of the hinge joint, extending perpendicularly to the second axis.
