    Abstract: Starting aid for internal combustion engines according to which fuel is conveyed to a flame heater plug extending into the interior of an outwardly bulging section of the air intake manifold which bulging section is larger than the entire plug portion extending into the bulging section of the air intake. A perforated cover is interposed between the flame heater plug and the air intake manifold, and more specifically is located in the area where the bulging section of the air intake manifold bulges out from the latter.
