    Abstract: An interlocking system for prefabricated roadway concrete barriers having a slot formed in an end of one barrier which defines a longitudinal and a transverse dimension. Another barrier has at least one member extending from an end with the member having a body portion and an end portion. The end portion is larger in the transverse dimension than the body portion. The slot forms an entranceway section for receiving through the entranceway of the member. The end portion is then captured in the slot within a section reduced in the transverse dimension.
